    Folder - What kit type?

The cable comes out the non drive side on the Q100 but it comes out the drive side on some other motors. Also the cable folds down quite close to the axle end (there is usually a slot) so folding should not be a problem.

LEVA-EU (no not another brexit thread )

Look at the early days of aviation and the automobile. People in sheds designed, invented, built without the need of any governing body, association whatever. Yes inventors died. Yes they killed innocent bystanders (a few). But that is the cost of progress. Cars and planes continue to kill...

    Which Kit?

You can run the Q100 at 48V but it isn't as beefy as the Q128 so you need to limit the Amps to 15 A https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=54297 (with posts from d8veh). I have it on my short list and will run it at 12.5 Amps x 48 V - 600 W because it only weighs 2 or so kgs...

sahel compact impulse 8 or winora radius

I love the Winora Radius not only a proven motor but much better design IMO. Another one I like is the orbea katu https://www.orbea.com/int-en/brands/katu-e/ which is Bosch powered. I have seen this bike in the flesh and it is a very nice piece of kit in a small package.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

They have these little Island holiday camps up in the north for refugees. Kind of basic accommodation, the staff isn't too friendly but hey the weather is great!

    Using Lithium batteries in parallel?

I'm pretty sure I calculated Wh for a 36 V battery above - tired... The balance board makes paralleling 4-5-6 packs as easy a plugging them in. I can't see you needing more than 32 Ah with 32 more as a backup but I may be wrong.

On a city/trekking bike? With balloon tyres? Your roads must have gotten really bad since I was there in the 80's :D The fork weighs 1.33 kg compared to 2.2 kg, remember we are talking about city/trekking, weight matters when you have to man handle a bike with loaded panniers through trafic. I...

    Using Lithium batteries in parallel?

You are over complicating and as d8veh and I tried to explain human error is where your LiPos will go wrong. 6 X 16 Ah should get you across the Atlantic nicely on one charge... Parallel 4 x 16 Ah packs using your reinforced wiring balance board, plug your balance cables in, plug a LiPo alarm...

    1. get rid of the battery on the rack, not only ugly but weight too high up and back heavy 2. if you want to do curves try and do it without needing too many reinforcing gussets 3. step throughs I like: https://www.orbea.com/int-en/ebikes/optima-asphalt-30-18...

    Using Lithium batteries in parallel?

Correction: Weak cell group if you have a weak cell it will drag all the others in the same parallel group down. I have a weak cell in the 4S multistar pack in the photo above. It hasn't given me any trouble but I watch it. It is 0.2 V off the other cells, the RC guys say 0.3 V is too much and...

    Fuzua Evation drive system

What we need is an official e-bike racing class. Think of all those teams innovating on light weight - high powered systems! Each team could use a set number of 18650 cells of a specific mAh rating and everything else would be left up to them to invent. Think of the trickle down to us mere...

    DIY Conversion - Voodoo Marasa

I have the huge version from BMSB: You could probably fit one of your tiny batteries in there! Keeps all of the extra wire tucked away and out of sight. Has started to rattle lately so you have to tie the controller down in mine.
