Hi guys, I have a cargo bike like this one - http://www.cargobike.se/produkt/Cargobike-Classic-Electric-

I have bought a new controller to test out from KT but it seems my motor is sensored and I bought the non-sensored controller. Nonetheless it would be nice to test how the bike performs with sensorless controller. I am a bit hesitant to start cutting away wires since they look so nice and tidy in the bike. What I would like to do is figure out where to buy connectors like the ones I have attached to the current controller so I can swap in the new one and test. If things don't go well I can always revert back.

PAS connector (6 pins) - I assume only 3 are used here





Brake sensor + controller (8 pins, splits into two cables further up similar to the PAS cable 6 pins) - 5 wires to controller, 3 to brake.

Any tips to where I can find them? I googled around but could only find the motor cable, and in reality I only need the female ends.

The first connector you show is the normal 9-pin motor connector. The second is a connector for an LCD. The third is a connector for a harness that runs up to the handlebars.

When you buy a motor, you should get the cable that runs to the controller with it. One end has the 9-pin connector for the motor and the other has the three bullets that plug into the controller's phase wire barrels, and it has a block connector for the halls. With a sensorless controller, you leave the halls disconnected.

If you buy the motor as a kit with waterproof connectors, the controller and motor cable at the controller end both have 9 pin connectors.. To use that motor cable with your new controller, cut off the connector at the controller end and the controller's barrels, and solder the wires directly. You don't need a connector there because you have one at the motor end.

I've never seen those motor cables for sale on their own, except that Panda cleared out a few surplus ones. You can buy the connectors with some cable from BMSBattery, but they will be expensive. I ordered four and got done for about £24 duty and handling, so they ended up about £20 each when you include the shipping cost.

Perfect! These are the connectors I was looking for apart from the motor. The panda one is for the motor.

The connector caps that site sells look similar to what I will need. Any idea if they will fit the S-LCD3 plugs for the brakes and throttle cables?
