To makea start on the issues you face my Bosch charger gives 5 volts to the centre pin when not connected to the battery.

My Speedup ghost has failed, it looks like water got inside and caused some corrosion. Back to being a strictly legal KTM rider now. I'll be leaving it standard from now on.

nothing, the battery has 5 connections, the bike has 4 pins, only the charger uses the central battery connection.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has worked out a way to use these chargers on the Bosch batteries. The standard charger has 3 pins and gives 5 volts to the centre pin, and nothing to the main positive pin whilst not plugged into the battery.

You'll get over it, it's not as though you're equal, you're cheating, I often say I'm cheating as I pass them.

A friend my mine rides a bike whilst wearing her normal clothes, some times in skirts. I ride the same route sometimes. She has noticed vehicles giving her loads of space whilst passing her, but then sees the same vehicles cutting up cyclists further up the road. They don't give me much space...

As Dave says you should be okay without needing to charge at work. You'd be best with a 11 ah battery as a minimum I'd say. High lane is pretty minor in all honesty, a friend of mine does a similar commute on her old Raleigh most days with leg power only. https://app.strava.com/routes/1480878

I imagine you'll need to charge the bike at work if you're not putting much effort in. However that all depends on your route to work and how much elevation you have to climb. Can you share your route, or perhaps use this site to plot your route and then tell us how much climbing is on the...

They see you, but then fail to take the appropriate action. In this instance the driver could also have failed to see you altogether with that lamp post right in his line of sight to you. Perhaps time to buy some lycra Phill ;)
