Could eddy currents be causing this riding through treacle effect

Guessing it needs to be hosted elsewhere.

Could eddy currents be causing this riding through treacle effect

You'll quickly get a speed sensor error with that and the motor will pulse on and off.

Could eddy currents be causing this riding through treacle effect

Thanks, clearly an improvement over my Classic motor which I guess was designed 10 years ago.

Could eddy currents be causing this riding through treacle effect

Having had the motor apart I can't see how that is possible?

Could eddy currents be causing this riding through treacle effect

My Bosch Classic has that however I'm pretty sure it doesn't work as the way you describe, it would be possible for the motor to turn and provide drive without turning the cranks but if you're rotating the cranks then the motor is turning too, even when switched off.

Bosch CX - is it possible to reduce pedeling resistance with aftermarket mods

Hopefully my Bosch Classic will soldier on for another couple of years until next years models are a year old and discounted. It is a shame that Bosch's focus seems to be on improving performance with no mention so far on improving the longevity and crucily the sealing of their motors.

Bosch CX 2020 - lighter and smaller motor - new and larger(also length) intube battery

I've seen a few articles about the new motor, if that's what you mean. https://www.e-bikeshop.co.uk/blog/post/bosch-ebike-2020/ https://ebike-mtb.com/en/bosch-cx-2019-rumour/ https://electrek.co/2019/05/28/bosch-2020-mid-drive-ebike-motor-and-batteries/

    Help! Chain coming off

Crank drive bikes are hard on chains and alloy frames don't take too kindly to a lot of rear wheel adjustments with that style of drop out. I fitted a tensioner to mine, although at the time even that needed modifications to fit, now chain adjustment takes seconds via the allen headed bolt.

Changing wheel diameter size on Bosch powered bikes

But you could buy a motor programmed for 20" wheels. Are you saying the adjustment isn't something that can be altered by a dealer now where once it was possible?

Changing wheel diameter size on Bosch powered bikes

Probably due to finding a dealer willing to do it if it is actually something they can alter. I need a firmware update due to fitting a new remote switch that won't talk to my old firmware (so I'm told) so I'll ask and see what they say.

Changing wheel diameter size on Bosch powered bikes

Certainly there are bosch bikes on 20" wheels, perhaps they do even go in folders on 16" wheels too, although I've not seen one myself.

Changing wheel diameter size on Bosch powered bikes

Unlikely, how is the bike to know it isn't running on the standard wheels? I'd be going for 16" wheels if it has that setting.

    Help! Chain coming off

Which bike do you have? a photo of the side of the rear axle area will help with advice, having said that it is clear the bike shop is failing to deal with the issue in an effective way.

UK petition to raise cut-off limit

Dreadfully worded, I take it the bikes flys once you reach 18 mph
