Yes but FET based switches drain current even when off don't they? That is why I was looking for a solid state one like the drone chaps use on their LiPos.

Planning my bbs build - California chainring adaptor vs bling ring

I use a precialps 104 BCD spider on the GSM with a 42 tooth outer and a 32 tooth inner chainring. No the chain line isn't perfect but the only times I have dropped the chain was when changing gear on very rough terrain and every time it drops on to the inner chainring from the outer. Never lost...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Remove the food and drink machines from the waiting area? If you are badly hurt or very ill you aren't going to be hungry. Cell phone jammer of course (cell phones are banned in French hospitals).

Haibike sDuro HardSeven SL 2015 Yamaha (7 Month 1600 Miles)

I'll tell you a dirty little secret... :D I bought one and am using it on a 12-32 cassette in place of the 12 tooth high gear, and... It is a 10 speed cog on a 7 speed cassette... 2000+ km and so far so good. Maybe a little fidley to change up to at times. I even ran unrestricted for...

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

Who makes those in the EU? Campagnolo and a lot of tiny companies specialised in niche markets who sell them for the price of a whole bike? On bike Europe they have some stats for 2017 where there was a 20% + spike in e-bikes from China priced on average at 550€ or so. Look as I might I can't...

He is at about 1.2kW for a few seconds! But his chain is changed every day (220 odd km on the TdF) and probably the cassette too. The chain on the GSM sees a lot of sand and salty air and is still fine after 2000+ km. It has certainly done a lot of climbing!

Pedelecs that you like, but perhaps shouldn't.

Which fits perfectly with "why I shouldn't" like it, won't fit through the door and nowhere to park it :( The +6000€ price tag (with options) is off putting but it is a car replacement after all. What is missing from the accessories page is a Vespa like windscreen for the rainy season.

Is rain to blame for BBS01 problems

Some numbers: Bafang BBS01 cadences 78/83 at 36/42v The GSM No-load Engine speed(RPM) 90±5 Engine speed(RPM) 85±5 (36v and 42v) I like to spin at 90 rpm even up to 100-110 so by increasing the voltage 25% I should attain a load rpm of 105 right in my comfort zone. Increasing to 48v...

How does that rack work? No visible means of support

Add Giant Quick-e+ to that list and don't forget The Wingee https://www.herkelmannbikes.com/shop/wingee/ one of those is on the shopping list for my trike. Battery and bike kit on the current low rider rack I have mounted and personal belongings on that. They are mostly rated for 10 or 15 kg...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think Tom has hit the nail on the head: you have been spending too much money on Yankee wars you cannot afford and which were often started under false pretences rather than spending it at home on infrastructure. tillson France has health tourism on both ends of the scale - UK patients taking...

Is rain to blame for BBS01 problems

Agreed for 48v but 44.4v gives an interesting cadence of about 110 rpm easy to attain (and maintain) on a recumbent where I have a natural tendency to spin faster. At the standard voltage I am often spinning past 85-90 rpm and producing back EMF on an upright. To be tested when I get a weather...

Is rain to blame for BBS01 problems

If I may jump in: KT 17A or 20A sine wave controller or the like with external speed sensor plug, 36/48v compatible one is the best choice. The GSM internal controller is 18A so a couple extra won't hurt the motor. A speed sensor KT LCD-6 because it has a cadence monitor which can help you...

    costco jetson electric mtb

I have been looking for a cheap alternative to the lunacycle solid state battery switch, does anyone know of a cheaper source? In China for example, my searches on Ali didn't turn anything up. On the other hand the euro drone guys all have them, about twice the price of lunacycle...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Life and the world around them is so scary they are hiding from it... :p We don't have one and people keep asking "but how do you manage to meet up when you are out and about?", well we fix a meeting place and time beforehand, very complicated stuff!
