    Recommendation for a 250 or 500w ekit

Which, when you are tired at the end of a long hard ride, negates having a motor for assistance... The GSM will take 48v nicely if you stick to a 15 Amp controller, 17 Amps if it is flat where you ride.

£40 light bulb vs £2 light bulb

I bought a 19.95€ bulb when I moved in here. It came with a remote dimmer which can controll up to 10 bulbs. The button battery in the remote lasted about a month, I think the remote was talking to the receiver for my keyboard all day... :(

Any better chargers available for 13s 48 volt packs?

Last charge as an experiment I didn't plug in the balance wires - I never use balance charge just plain vanilla LiPo charge. Graphene pack came off the charger as per usual. Multistar had cells that had drifted off balance by 0.07v!!! https://www.speedict.com/ for the high end BMS

Any better chargers available for 13s 48 volt packs?

How are you going to balance the cells? Most of us have cheapo Sans Chinese chargers and from time to time someone has a problem but not very often.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Now that is a bird strike. Imagine what chunks of carbon fibre and an exploding LiPo battery would do in there. The plane probably wouldn't crash and burn but a whole heap of $$$ would be required to get the motor back to a state that would pass pre-flight checking. There was a drone strike in...

    New controller help.

The GSM and the Bafang BBS motors have internal PAS disks. My point was KT controllers have settings for KT (and other) PAS but not for the internal PAS of those mid drive motors - the signal is not recognised. If you bought it with the controller it should be OK.

    New controller help.

What is the brand of the PAS, the same as the controller? My KT controller did not recognise the PAS signal sent from my GSM motor (similar to Bafang BBS0x PAS)

    Getting rid of drones

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/dec/19/gatwick-flights-halted-after-drone-sighting The other day I was sitting on the sofa (probably reading pedelecs) and a movement outside caught my eye. My new flat is a birdwatchers paradise and at first I thought it was a crow or another larger...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

What bureaucrats? Oh the top brass... The share of administration costs has been stable for a long time and amount to less than 6% of the EU's budget, which itself is equivalent to 1% of total EU economic output (GDP). Compared with some 55,000 EU civil servants serving some 500 million...
