Battery and charge connectors for case

Hmm, well can't disagree with your own experience but I belive xt60 or 90 to be far superior to those repurposed microphone sockets. I had those on my first battery nearly a decade ago. Plus many mainstream sellers use standatd sockets without issue. If I'm honest I can't help but hold the...

Help! Intermittent fault on battery - causing loss of power

Sorry to hear this but a bad connection whereever it is can be diagnosed and fixed cheaply although can be time consuming I have repaired many broken welds with soldering iron. Doesn't have to be welded

    Hailong Xl screw size

I put a call into a few places (woosh, instat and Brighton Ebikes) as I know they all use hailong packs amongst others. Turns out different Chinese companies all make their hailong style differently. So screw size varies for the same 65 cell hailong case depending where made Not sure why I'm...

    Vintage bike conversion

That bike looks to be a great condition. Well from looks alone at any rate. Bit of work here and there to lose the rust(if you care, the "rat" look from vw campers says not needed) Those front forks might be the biggest issue. They look very close togbter from the photos which might reduce your...

Very nice ebike at Costco Black Friday deal

Looks a uni moke copy. Seen a few of the the uni in and around Brighton. They look rather nicely built and finished in the flesh The geometry looks weird on the copy. Kinda of a cut n shut of two bikes. Fraction of the price mind...

    Adding rear disc brake.

Good advice and something I wasnt aware of a couple of years back. Trashed a motor simply because I changed the bolts to some pretty red anodised ones. My inner bike tart costs me the motor in that case. Lesson learned the hard way!

Yes And no, or very little at any rate. If you include the battery then constant use over shut off at 15mph

    Battery weather tight

Yes I have, I tend to either ride fast as a commuter or off road mtb. It doesn't really suit either tbh However for what you might term utility cycling they are absolutely great Decathlon sell them BTW, or used to a few months bsck Edit. Still do...

I also use sugru for various jobs incuding this And, as I used to travel a lot for work in UK, a large stash of shower caps from hotels. I always keep one in my bag for really horrendous weather to stick over the the LCD It was a tip from an ex member!

    Battery weather tight

General rule of thumb is that you can cycle an ebike in the rain no worries. But they don't like being left standing in rain much More common than batteries with water ingress are lcd panels. At least that's how it seems to me from this forums users anyway

    Hailong Xl screw size

I have bought 21ah mj1 hailong xl battery. It has no BMS so I was ready so solder in. But when it arrived today I noticed I wasn't supplied with any screws to hold the case together I've looked all over but cannot find the info What size screws do I need and are they same length. From sight...

    Bonkers bike!

Not me, but I'm a sucker for that cafe racer styling. And that colour red. Not that I've ever had anything like it. I need my bikes practical daily use. So when the lottery win comes in I'd buy one as an occasional plaything
