You may wish to fit a new BMS to keep the battery balanced and will prob. need a new generic charger.

Maybe ask Yose if they sell them. Those connectors are factory fitted.

Prob. a good idea to check the bottom bracket spindle runs smoothly and is still straight also.

Sounds like the connector is in the lower section of the frame tube, so you will most likely need to unbolt the motor from the frame to gain access to it.

It's a tricky one to get right. I run around 7-8 psi off road with Bud and Lou, but road noise is hideouso_O, 20 psi in VeeTire Apache slicks to avoid self-steer, but harsh and bouncy. Still work in progress.:)

I get that a shop like B&Q can provide many items that can be classed as essentials, but equally it could also be taken by many that it is now OK to think about going out and buying things like plants and a new patio set which are not. Lifting this so called lockdown is going to be a very tricky...

I don't think it's my imagination, but there seemed to be a lot more traffic on the roads last week, which suggests there is more non essential travel taking place. Read last night that B&Q are reopening some of their stores. Have I missed some vital piece of news?

Looks like the damaged connector is on the controller side which would help to explain why replacing the TS only acts as a temp. fix. There is an old thread on here from anon4 who changed the controller on his Carrera a while back, use the search feature.

Looks like the battery socket isn't fairing too well either. Halfrauds will prob. want around £90 for a new charger with the same issue. One solution would be to replace both ends with a suitable connector, but this would mean opening the battery case. This may seem a bit drastic, but sometimes...

You will prob. find the OEM charger will not switch on charge voltage/current because it needs a signal which the new BMS has no function to do so, but good luck with a work around.

5 pin connector would suggest some kind of comms, but poss. not. Battery voltage to the handlebar display normally comes from the controller, not direct from the battery. Can you see the wire connection on the pins?
