    Halfords E-Bikes

Thanks. Just popped into halfords to check for tomorrow. Both bikes will be ready to try tomorrow morning. I mentioned about the reported cutouts and the staff said this was known and related to last years models and the removable displays. Said water got into the contacts and corrosion caused...

    Halfords E-Bikes

Hey Paul, Yes I could build something but I am not sure it would cost a lot less. I guess I was just taken by the E-Vulcan. Its a pretty nice/well specked base bike and looks like it would be fun to use off road. Strange a few years ago I was completly obsessed with small wheeled bikes, but...

    Halfords E-Bikes

Thanks guys. Yes Dave having and building my own conversions makes it so easy to repair and maintain them. A big factor for sure. Speed wise 15mph is fine for me. The Vulcan does look nice in the shop. As I said I should take both out for a test ride. I think I would like a go at a first rear...

    Halfords E-Bikes

Hi again. Now I am retired and have a little more time to play around, I was thinking of getting a larger ebike to supplement my E-Brompton. I notice Halfoirds have their Carrera Crossfire-E on special offer and with membership of British Cycling club there is another 10% off. I almost prefer...

I have now retired early and the brompton does not get the daily use any more, but more recently I have been building/updating full sized non assisted bikes, building full sized wheels, learning...

E- Brompton Coming Soon - Reminder

Been off the grid for a while having retired early six weeks ago :) My first Brompton build was in 2009 and having retired I now dont use it to work every day. Thousands of miles on my Tongxins. I have loads of spares as they have proved to me much more rialable (for small wheel bike builds)...

    The new best folding bike

Hold on there is the steep cycle bridge and a few other inclines on my commute ;) Then of course also those strong head winds in the winter months! Jerry

    The new best folding bike

Yes hence why I said naff Keyde motor. My front Keyde motors work fine but the first one developed a lot of noise (but still works perfectly) after 800 miles. I decommissioned this light weight Brompton recently. If I only had the Titanium one I would have put a Tongxin in it, increasing the...

    The new best folding bike

Electric Brompton's heavy! How about this one at 11.5kg ;) Ok there is the bag with the battery as well but max of about 3kg with a 25 mile battery. You do have to put up with the naff Keyde motor as well lol
