TSZD2B clutch failure. Any tips on replacement?

Rather then use petrol one could try the Alfine 8 tip when or if the factory grease is thick or sticking. With the Alfine 8 one would have to dismantle the drive to nearly all it's component parts to get at the hard to get plces where the grease can't be got at, instead the whole drive uni...

    carbon forks and hub motors?

Personally I prefer steel /chromoly forks simply because they feel better then CF, the one mtb bike I had that was all CF I got shot of because I just didn't like the riding. Each to their own and how a bike rides /feels will differ to that which one will feel comfortable with.

    carbon forks and hub motors?

I find my Ute with tsdz2 an easy ride with no power and that is also towing my carry freedom , flat road terrain and on the Worth way as well. Gearing and cycle fitness both play their part, with Ute I have a double chain ring set up 32/42t that works perfectly because of the LWB/ rear chain...

Replaced my km529 display with a s866 display

With generic china stuff the only connection that is wired as a std is the nine pin hub motor julet.

Replaced my km529 display with a s866 display

If changing display then one will have to buy a matching controller. We recommend KT /Kuenteng controllers and KT LCD's simply because they are about the best after market system to buy , because they are widely available from many vendors one can buy the items seperately knowing they will be...

Replaced my km529 display with a s866 display

For the s866 to work one needs to buy a crappy brainwave controller then there is no guarantee both will work because the software /programming may still be different as other brands will also use the s866. To be prudent 100% sure of every thing to marrying up one has to buy a controller and...

Replaced my km529 display with a s866 display

It doesn't work because the s866 isn't compatible with your controller which is most likely a Lishui model. The software and programming are totally different. Although the electrics are generic stuff one can't simply just use any old display or controller, they have to be paired or matched...

Do any cadence sensored hub motor controllers activate pedal assist when ghost pedalling backwards as well as forwards?

Problem is a lot of folks think an EAPC is the answer to regain their younger riding days, alot of these riders are occasional fair weather riders and only ride when it is 15 -20c or maybe go out once in blue moon. These riders have no road confidence or great bike control yet want a...

Mix and match components help sorted for a build

Bafang then likely 4.4 or 5.1 and P1 will be 84 - 100 . With my Bafang CST I found 84 to be the best and accurate P1 setting for speed read out.

Do any cadence sensored hub motor controllers activate pedal assist when ghost pedalling backwards as well as forwards?

Thumb start modes seem to be needed because ; 1.Fit riders are lazy and don't want to pedal . 2. Unfit riders wanting to ride , still thinking they are as good as they were as if they were in their earlier years. 3. Ligitimate cases where some type of disability means a rider has little...

    Battery Not Charging

Despite that which we have said do go back to my #3 and read the second sentence written. Contact the supplier /vendor first before doing any thing else.

    Battery Not Charging

If you have a meter carefully check the charger output voltage from the charger jack it should read 54.6v, be careful not to short pins and probes together. Via the battery charger lead probe the v+ & v- for a voltage reading as well.

    Battery Not Charging

If fully charged battery should be 54v - 54.6v. A solid green led on the charger doesn't indicate anything , it simply means no current transfer to the battery so no charging in process. Typically all generic type chargers are dumb chargers and will only charge if the battery BMS allows...

Mix and match components help sorted for a build

The P1 setting for the Gtech hub will likely differ from the Yose hub, so one will have to alter that one . I am only guessing the Gtech will be 5.1 gearing but one will have google or look thru the search area on the forum to find out.

Converting a tandem with 500w Bufang Rear Hub Motor - powerful enough?

AKM nylon gears are readily available from TBK , the AKM100 doesn't have to be run at 18 -20a , one can run it at a lower setting. My 1.6kg G370 mini small front hub coped fine with my pre surgery 82.5kg weight + towing a trailer with 90kg payloads. I have yet found the need to use more then...

P1 is good. P2 /1. P3 /1 . P4 /1 to be legal with C4/3. P5/12 - 15. C1/ 5 , 6 or 7 which ever picks up the PAS best. C2/0 is usually the default, one can try all the others or a few secs but not with full power. C3/0. All C3 does is determine which PAS level the bike display shows when...

Which ebike is best to speed up commute, must be able to pedal at 30 km/h

3 seconds per mile isn't much as shown with the AKM , it is perfectly rideable should delivery power fail. The same ride with a std 5.1 ratio geared hub would take more effort and sap ones energy. Likewise the same with a BBS vs TSDZ mid drive, riding a BBS unpowered is one experience I would...

    carbon forks and hub motors?

If one really wants a front motor then Surly Disc trucker forks imv are the perfect partner for a hub, my Bafang G370 has been faultless and fitted perfectly in to the drop outs. Make sure the forks are nice sturdy ones and steel , at over £125 Surly DT's are cheap but they are very good...
