    BPM kit build thread

Hey, To answer a few questions that have cropped up: I went for the front drive as the bike has a Shimano Alfine internally geared 8 speed rear hub which I'm fairly attached to. So, it was either front drive on this or buy another bike to build on to. Jury is still out on whether I jumped...

    BPM kit build thread

Hello, So, after getting lots of great advice on kits from people here I have been waiting around for my order from bmsbattery to turn up. On Thursday the first part arrived! So I am starting this build thread with the aim of helping others by sharing my build experience and perhaps...

    Security and Covers

I've been using a New York Fahgettaboudit short length D-lock and an Abus Granit chain/padlock together. All in all about £140 worth of locks but I've still got my Cannondale and I live in Cambridge which I reckon is about about as good a test as you can get. It's not about making it impossible...

Which kit, and hydraulic front brakes an issue?

Well, on the basis of all the feedback I've gone for the 350W 36v BPM front hub (no sensor) and 48V 16ah LiFePO4 battery. Controllers don't seem too expensive so I don't mind swapping the kit one out at a later point if I need. I'll be upgrading the front rotor to 203mm using a Hope mount...

Which kit, and hydraulic front brakes an issue?

The Bafang kits look a great option, even with import duty the kit price is excellent and with a good capacity battery. Slight downer that it doesn't appear to be disc compatible and I am quite attached to my disc brakes. That said, is there a general concensus that 500W or thereabouts on...

Which kit, and hydraulic front brakes an issue?

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I did look at the Aurora but at 5' 6" I'm way too short for it  I'd missed the higher power ezee kits somehow... these look ideal and would suit my needs on a 700c wheel. They're also somewhat less brash than the Magic Pie... It looks like onbike is...

Which kit, and hydraulic front brakes an issue?

Hi everyone, First off - great forum and I'm pleased to have found such a great source of information. Second, I wanted to run some thoughts on a kit purchase past people with lots of experience if that's ok. I want to ditch my car for the 20 mile round trip commute. It's flat all...
