Help with resetting Bionx charger - Dead on arrival

Too late. Oh well too late. Funnily enough I have just been checking it out and added the spacer washer that Frank recommended. It has pulled the wheel over but now I will have to readjust the deraillieur as it will now not go into first. It is not a great issue as I hope that first gear will...

Thanks for the responses. I am not even getting the glimmer of red now. The fan is not working at all. I have the charger with me but no battery. I have to send the charger back today. I have plugged it in and left it on but nothing at all. Thanks for the spacer tip John. I will try and get some...

Help with resetting Bionx charger - Dead on arrival

Hi, the only light that comes on for the briefest of moments is the red light. The white led does not illuminate at all. I assume this would be green if lit. I have tried plugging it in to the battery and unplugged. The battery itself is making an occasional electronic sound. Apparently this is...

I am sure the charger is simply DOA. The supplier has ordered a replacement. i have at least had time to fit...

Patience tested yet again - Kit delayed

It is a UK product not USA import. I looked at your kits Frank and was impressed but I did not want a throttle just pedelec. I would say if you want a throttle based product you would have had my pound notes.

    Tonaro esprit -quick update

Just a thought Steve. Have you checked the brake switches? I don't know if the Tonaro set up will work without them but it has to be worth a shot.

Patience tested yet again - Kit delayed

This time it was just a Fedex issue. Hopefully Monday will see me sorted. Does anyone happen to know if a standard depth socket will fit the over the axle and nuts on a Bionx or do I need a deep socket. I plan to use a 1/2" Drive torque wrench to make sure they are done up just so. Another...

Patience tested yet again - Kit delayed

I have been waiting for about 6 weeks for the new batch of Daahub's to come in. For one reason or another the date has slipped again and I then took the chance of a very good deal on a Bionx kit. It was due to arrive today but delay has struck again and it will now not arrive until Monday. How...

Bionx or other kit - is motor braking a benefit on a v hilly route

I am still toying with which kit to put on my Trek 6000. I am torn between the Daahub and the Bionx. I know the cost of the Bionx is high and but it does seem to be reliable and have a good reputation on reliability. My route is predominantly up hill one way and then a series of steep down hill...

    Kalkhoff ProConnect S stolen

What were the circumstances. Was it stolen before your forum purchaser had collected it? Did you have any other tyre kickers that you did not like the look of. Did you keep a record of their mobile numbers. Might be worth passing on to the Police.

Is the 250 an electronically restricted 350 motor Is the '250' motor supplied in the Bionx UK spec kits simply an electrically restricted version of the '350' motor supplied in the states?

    Tyre sizes

I changed 26 x 2.25 MTB tyres to Schwalbe City Jet 26 x 1.95 they are much easier to ride with and very quiet. Best of all they were only just over £11 each including being puncture resistant.

has anyone switched to a road bike after using the elecs?

This is quite interesting. I have been testing my no e-bike Trek 6000. I have changed the tyre's from MTB to Schwalbe Cityjet's and put Shimano spd's on. I have just come in from a short test up my local very steep and very long hill. I was down to 3.7 - 4.1 mph on the very steep sections but...

Wisper DaaHub arrives - what a bike!

Looks like the in frame fit will be tight on my Trek 6000. The cable guide lug for the front derailleur is going to be restrictive. I am sure a bit of judicious work with a drill and file will solve it. If not the seat post will have to do.

    Another charger died.

Have a look at Accessories there are two lithium chargers advertised for £46 odd. The Tonaro range have XLR charging sockets. Might be worth a call to Phil to get the spec.

Wisper DaaHub arrives - what a bike!

How difficult was the lining up of the brake rotor to your existing calliper? Could I also be a real pain and ask for the dimensions of the controller/battery unit.

Any reviews of BionX PL250 HT SL XL kit

I agree they seem out of kilter. Would it be possible to rebuild the battery with cells purchased from an online source?
