Kit for a Trek Mountain Bike

Would it be possible to cut off the brake levers and connect the two wires from the brake cuts outs to a small magnetic reed switch from maplins or RS switches? A bit of tape to get it in the right place and the epoxy it once happy. Could you also tell me what the overall all up weight of the...

    E-bike kits - availability

Perhaps thats why I have heard nothing from David for months about the kit. I was extremely keen to go for the daahub. Damn. Oh well looks like the Honda will have to do for a while longer until the next optimum kit finally materialises. I must admit I was a bit surprised to see Andrew advising...

    self destructing bike

Was the shaft still tight in the drop outs or had it come loose and rather than the motor locking it had just spun loose with the wires causing the lock up?

    Tom's BEAST - 9,000 watt DH Bike

For my two penneth that just looks plain crazy. I have just opted for the motorcycle route due to steep hills. I am happy to tootle along within the speed limits. Even with a much heavier machine sitting underneath me and as such being far more inherently stable, it has taken me a few miles...

    Gone for the Honda

Picked up the Honda today. Top quality as always. Quite surreal after all these years. I will still be fitting that Daahub as soon as it is available. Big hint David :)

    Gone for the Honda

I am out on the course on a Saturday, come rain or shine. I recall playing several times over the winter and having to chip the ice off of the studs on my shoes. It is my one piece of sanctuary. Phone off and a few hours where everyone leaves me alone. However, I am still very much looking...

    Gone for the Honda

After waiting so long for the perfect kit to become available or for the Daahiub V2 to be released I have weakened and gone for a Honda 125 S-Wing. I will keep my brand new and unused Trek 6000 mothballed until the right kit becomes available. The daahub had everything I needed and the...

    Two part pedelec sensor

Is there any off the shelf pedelec sensor disc that comes as a two part disc so as to avoid the need to remove the bottom bracket. Like the one on the Daahub. As an alternative could you cut one in half and fix it with a couple of plates across the join?

Those Derringer's are extremely attractive. No prices though ............ Thanks for the massive response to this post. I have a full bike licence and have gone from a 50cc moped through a Commando in my yoiuth to a VFR 750 and finally a Fireblade in my male menopause. Now I just wanted the...

A whole can of worms for a Monday morning = Pedelec v 125cc Motorcycle

Here is my story of my experience of the world of electric bikes. Having an occupation that locks me to a chair for many hours I decided that I would increase my excercise by cycling to golf. The journey is only just over 6 miles but is very hilly. I am not talking little bumps but serious and...
