I can hardly hear my 6 in one of these, right next to me. On heavy compute tasks, I occasonally hear other fans - they're good cheap silent cases.HDD's are so loud!
Tbf my 2xHDD in the 4000d are well sound proofed, I hear the 6 fans more & I am currently moving all my GP vids back to the laptop now I have a free 1TB I can use for projects it'll be nice to have one drive to store all MP4's and free up some network storage for more ISO's pml.I can hardly hear my 6 in one of these
I've seen them, I thought the likes of SeaSonics are quality but I have no experience of the brand or the tech.fanless PC power supplies don't appear to last long
The longest a low spec Corsair has lasted me is 7 years. When they don't fail immediately, they last for years. And when they do appear to fail immediately, I find they usually can be revived by use of a paperclip to switch them on - they're very sensitive and will go into protection mode, often due to shorts and USB hubs.the fan on my seasonic psu wont even spin unless it reaches a certain load and one of the best brands you can buy for a decent psu and a 12 year warranty on some of them.
Sounds to me like it was dropped too often by a delivery ape. Power supplies are robust, but not that robust.corsair has gone down the **** pipe quality wise and price gone up gone are the good old days.
i sent it back to scan and got a seasonic 1300w one for the same price
Bugger, I purchased and are using a CX550F RGB, so far I have had no troubles, ramps up a little at boot but then settles, also ARGB in from my cheapo gamemax hub worked nicely, popped it in upside down, too dusty otherwise. I was not a huge fan of RGB but the case needed some colour, so I went cheapest ARGB as poss incase I upgrade to an ARGB mobo etc.corsair has gone down the **** pipe quality wise
Corsairs do last years in my experience, even the cheap ones. As with all PC power supplies, there's always the odd DOA.I do hope it lasts although I only paid £32 in the black friday madness 2021
Aye, it seems quality, same with the case, this was the first component purchase in years, the PSU before stilled worked and was ACE brand & tbf it was a good 750w PSU that lasted years with heavy dust build up when my other half didn't look after it, but I did need an 8 pin PCIe for the GPU upgrade that never happened still waiting for deflation in the tech market pml. 1080 for £200, 1660 hasn't gone down much.Corsairs do last years
Because I don't game, I wouldn't mind trying an Intel Arc for video editing - people pissed off with shoddy drivers could flood the secondhand market with them soon?still waiting for deflation in the tech market pml. 1080 for £200, 1660 hasn't gone down much.
Give it month n those ARK prices might come down, I would imagine they will sort those pesky drivers out soonBecause I don't game
Totally forgot you have 2x sever cpu's running.dual xeon
not to mention a fixed tariff on energy from 2015this is the psu you will need for the 40 series
I've read there could be a thread limit in DaVinci Resolve, causing it to use only one of your Xeon CPUs instead of both at rendering time. Let's hope DaVinci resolve this in Resolve soon. You could try VSDC, which is also free or £22 - it's renderer is the fastest I've seen.i have dual xeon cpus
