I have completed quite a lot of video editing past few months, way more than in past few years, mainly from 4k video footage from my drone.

I now use (moved away from Premier as the icons are just too small and confusing these days for me, only now used for specific tasks), DaVinci Resolve - the free version - it's excellent, way more powerful than you would expect and very easy to get in to, so many 10mins YT vids and that's all you need for the basic edits and to add music. Fill your boots...

The Fairlight part looked interesting for music making, haven't tried that yet - got an old version which runs on Windows 7. It'd be great if it's a free host for free VSTs, but it most likely isn't. Seems likely to have decent quality digital compression and eq.

I haven't played with the Fairlight tab much in DaVinci, I do all music production in Cubase as I think we discussed in another thread here that we hijacked ;-)

Then just drag the audio in ready to master!

Impressive name drops on that thread! Whichever thread it was. Have to say, I very much liked the production on one of the tracks on your Youtube channel, can't say which because I didn't bookmark.

This was the thread, OP asked a sensible question and somehow it went right of topic:

On Endless Sphere there's a gigantic thread started by one of their moderators all about his music, which nobody has moved for years. I can see why talk of music geekery can annoy some forum members. Short discussions about noisemaking occasionally breaks out on the "Computers and Stuff" thread, which hardly anyone else visits. Usually it's just @soundwave going on about how he wants my sound card RAM for his AKAI sampler. Music is deffo stuff:
