XT is normally associated with shimano deore brand, XC is normally associated with the cross country style of riding.What's the difference between xt and xc (as I have xc and they look very similar to xt!!)...

Just make sure you have then on the right way round.Can't view your pics, but never had to do that to mine.
not going to try them till i get my new cranks as will just use them on those but site says in stock but there not and on back order and got to ring next week now pff.One further thing for you to check, is to fit the pedals to the bike, clip in whilst balancing against something, and pedal backwards to make sure that you have adequate clearance between your shoes/leg against the pedal crank. It will save potentially rubbing the finish from the pedal cranks.
do you use locktight on the shoe bolts ?It is worth sticking bit of heli tape or similar on the pedal cranks.
