Median Salary is a better measure for the reasons laid out in this article

Notice how well the Nordic countries do with very good public services (and policies to the left of the Corbyn's 2019 manifesto.) We do very poorly, (although the rich do quite well) We seem to manage to combine being a really very unequal society with a relatively poor country (by European standards), which is quite some trick.
On that table, UK is in 19th position, beaten by Malta and Ireland among others.
Roughly the same ranking as GDP per capita.
The problem with the UK is the wide difference between the rich and poor compared to those ranking higher than ourselves, so remedy seems to be reducing the difference.

Maybe the people who down voted the article would be better to use their brains and argue against the points they dispute..... I have always despised the idea that you put a red cross against something you disagree with rather than explaining what it is that you think is wrong. It smacks of brainless incoherence to me or a toddler having a tantrum.
The article is just a set of opinions of one of your favourite right wing commentators about Ed Miliband's forthcoming actions, which you present as if fact about to happen. They aren't of course, they are simply Miliband's desired intentions which, like most such intentions immediately post a general election, will never be realised.

Hence my considered disagreement with your post

And of course I know how you would react to anything Ed Miliband does since he is a remaining element of Labour's true left following Starmer's scourge. That's something that jars with your true political self, far right rather then the moderate right that you pretend to be.

The far right bigot shows his true self.

Rather than acknowledge that in the gamble of life, people are born with widely differing capabilities and potentials, he places the wealth resulting from his good fortune of birth above and beyond helping the far less fortunate.

Says the hard left Corbyinista, who a couple of days ago admitted he retired from work and contribution at fifty and spent the last thirty years poncing off the tax payer.... Nice one. What would happen if we all did that.

Mad Lenny, who never actually managed to put together a sentence himself, and has been plastering the thread with pictures of half naked women for a few days (something wrong there - surely) down votes instantly, without any time to have read the ideas and is suddenly very keen on copyright rules....

Odd that. Is it that only he is allowed to spam the forum with shyte?
