i think i have my win 7 pro cds in the loft with both the 32bit and 64 bit versions just pm me a address and i can post it to you nealh as have no use for it anymore.
It's possible to install Windows 7 from a USB drive, but it isn't always straightforward if he has an SSD. If he takes it to a PC repair shop and provides the disk or valid serial number, they will install Windows 7 for him. It won't get any updates of course, but if he installs Comodo Firewall (instead of Windows Firewall) and has antivirus, he'll be ok for the most part using it on the internet - with certain ports blocked.This one doesn't have a cd draw/slot, but thanks for the offer.
