No, there was a further delay in getting it from A to B.

I'm waiting to hear further, but with others getting theirs tomorrow and following with reports, the point of me trying it has rather gone now.

I'm still satisfied it's going to be a better performer than the Twist and with definitely much longer range, and also a better performer and much better value than the Gazelle. Just a pity from the pure cycling-without-power point of view if it's much heavier than the Twist's 22 kilos.

Perhaps we should all try to PM 50cycles, apparently they are frequently on the forum, but not at the moment, I also notice that live help on there website is not available. Maybe they are thinking of a name change to 50Kilos.

Good point Daniel,
but how do we find out from them, this weight thing just takes the edge off it for me, begining to wish I hadn't sold my Lafree now:(

But your opinion would be of the highest interest for all of us, Flecc!

Regarding the weight. My Twist, which is the Comfort version with suspendend forks, seatpost and hub dinamo, weights at least 23 kg... In normal use I carry with me a big U-lock, the fittings for the Bobike child seat and a sprung leather saddle, so I guess the total weight to be near the "new" one of the Agattu. I must confess that I don't feel a remarkable difference than before.

I agree I that I don't think it serious Leonardo, but I liked the lightness of my Twist Lite version over the Comfort and Comfort ST models, but all are easy to pedal without power, and certainly easier than hub motor bikes.

if the bike weighs more than advertised,it is very poor research from 50 cycles,eg have they agreed a contract without even looking at an agutta, surely with their experience of electric bikes within ten seconds, they could estimate the weight of a bike to within a kilo.

Perhaps it's best to bear in mind we don't know what weight it is yet.

There are wide variations in frame and suspension fork weights, and the weight of fitments depending on design choices, so it's not easy to be sure of the weight without actually weighing the bike.

When similarly equipped, I can think of two similar bike models from two different manufacturers that one could think are the same weight but which are 3 kilos different.

I still think its a great looking bike with great vital statistics  I wish I had one turning up in the near future..

Guys, I know it might not be easy, but please try to give us your objective opinions of the bikes, I for one am really interested in what you have to say, good or bad.

I think the point is we should know the real weight of the Agutta and it should be as advertised. I can understand that there will be variations in weight due to frame size, but in that case we should have the accurate weight of each frame size available. I just wonder if, and I am only saying if, the weight is wrong what other specification might be incorrect.

My Agattu arrives tommorow, but I understand they are not quite as light as was suggested closer to 23Kilos.
Hello Daniel-I may have missed reading another post, but where did you get your information re being nearer 23Kg?

Hi Chris, I think Daniel has gone to bed as he will have to do some weightlifting in the morning. Wonder if 50cycles will update the website overnight with the real weight, just like they did with the spec of the new Torq Trekking?

I see now that 50cycles have also gone to bed without comment on this saga. Or have they gone round to the unit to see what they can chop off the bikes for delivey to bring the weight down, or are they busy editing the website with the "real" weight?

I didn't realize that the stated 20.8 kg was without battery... Anyway, I see on this pdf that the not electric Agattu 24s weights 17.8 kg. I don't know if it can be useful to understand the weight of the pedelec model with the Nexus 7.

Another thought, maybe I should shed 3.6Kg or more to make up the difference and get a whole lot fitter too. That might make a lot more sense.

Hi again Chris, I know it says 22Kg on their website, but is that correct. Or do you have another source of information?
