Don't tempt me. If I had the money spare I would, if only to try to generate some income for the bike shop.
It might have worked well for me today though.
There already!
A fitting title for today's short ride on the Ultra 1964. It was a choice of stay at home whining about a bad back, whilst looking out of the window at the sleet and rain, or get off off my backside and ride. In the scheme of things it wasn't a long ride at 17 miles, but it was yet another of those rides that made you so glad to be out.
I've completed this ride many times on the e-mtb, and have also ridden it on the Ultra on three occasions. It has three lengthy drags, two of which have previously seen me slip into the granny ring to complete. Not today though, my poor breathing technique aside, the climbs were seemingly effortless, and I seemed to spend the whole ride, looking back at the climbs, rather than looking towards them defeated before the start.
I have no idea why this photo keeps going upside down!
I also put in one last short road climb before turning back downhill for home, and without knowing it, managed to pull off a sixth fastest Strava time, out of 931 riders. A very pleasant way to finish a ride.
And they say that an e-bike makes you fat and lazy!
