Spell it out. Why not? Otherwise it's very vague - "Healthily" is relative, isn't it? That entire set of paragraphs that this sentence was part of took some time to write, yet there's no detail about what you consider healthy.
Because spelling it out so often prompts some food or exercise bore to come in with one or more crackpot theories on what is best for me.

Healthy and healthily are primarily determined by what is definitely known and proven to be generally healthy, no unproven fads or fashions. Secondarily determined by what is healthy for the individual and their personal circumstances.

Yep, as I suspected, you simply didn't want your diet to be scrutinised... but have you considered that others, including food faddists and vegan weirdos, could learn something from you? Fear of anything is bad. And quite a lot of good can sometimes come from crackpot theories.

I believe the general medical consensus regarding the shortened lifespan of the Scots is down to their copious gluggage of Ironbru and alcohol, as well as enthusiastic indulgence of deep fried Mars bars. Diet has a bigger role than you think!
That last short sentence is an assumption, you don't know what I think. Best answered with the previous post linked to below:

In another place which is about health matters, I yawn at the number of people who say "I eat healthy".

The wording sets me off. But I think by far the majority of have no idea. Not having a Big Mac every lunch and Domino's pizza every evening is sincerely felt to be really good.

Given the way that perception of diet in academic, medical, sport, and numerous other areas changes, often radically, over time, it is not something I'd claim. Not even that I eat healthily. But I do a lot better than many. Lots of fresh and self-cooked food.

But you haven't said - leaving room for much assumption. I give up ;) Goodnight.

More incorrect assumptions. I know from what you've previously posted that my diet would largely meet with your approval, but why would I seek that when we are two different people with differing requirements? I've had 85 years of finding what is best for me, you haven't had a single minute of finding that for me.

I agree most have absolutely no idea, I see what is in their supermarket trolleys, I see their shape and condition. But I'm very far from being "the majority". I'm a metaphorical million miles from that, to the degree that I frequently upset the people who dislike exceptions.

Quasi Coathanger seems to have found the solution to the energy crisis in his seaweed. He’s predicting a mild winter, so we can all relax secure in the knowledge that this guy is at the top of his game.

Just been watching video about slow jogging.
Would have to be a very strange pedelec for rider to not be able to exert that level of exercise.
You mention somewhere about jogging being able to push out put level up above that on pedelec.
The whole point of pedelec is to be able to exert any level of exercise, from a minimum level I, d guess similar to slow jogging all the way to a level Bradley Wiggins might exert in a training session.
My old MTB route was 14 miles and around a thousand feet climbed (all off road).
Putting same effort in I now do 26 miles and with around double the climbs.
Why are you assuming more effort is expended in first over latter? That's a function of rider and not the bike. Yes, if feeling lazy you can make bike do most work but a 150 watt rider output is 150watt rider output irrespective of bike you are on.
In essence with same effort you go further, higher and faster on pedelec.
Get the bike mended.

I felt like an idiot wearing my KN95 mask today, wandering around hospital to attend an appointment with the endochriminologist (somewhere in his body, a crime is being committed) - very few were wearing masks. On the bus, I was the only one wearing a mask.
How did your appointment go?

I guess no-one arranged a blood test before the appointment so that you'd have the results available at the appropriate time?

Also, we are all different. And at the detailed level, we have different needs and react differently to the same foods/diet.

Aren't a lot of Scottish of Viking origin ie Nordic? Rape, pillag, rape, enslavement, trade, more rape etc. etc. Nordic genes are much coveted, are they not? I believe the general medical consensus regarding the shortened lifespan of the Scots is down to their copious gluggage of Ironbru and alcohol, as well as enthusiastic indulgence of deep fried Mars bars.
I had to smile at that! most of my ancestors met their end by being lynched for various misunderstanding about animal husbandy and ownership , and property right too.
Irn Bru had nothing to do with it!

There is the Lloyd's bank coprolite (fossilised viking turd). Full of parasites and the enormous product of a diet of saturated fat and barley. Probably the kind of indigestion required to make one **** off on a narrowboat to a cold wet island full of picts to rape and pillage

However, many redheads have Nordic genes and suffer from more skin cancer, need more anaesthetic, more likely to get Parkinson's, ...

My own hair was never red - but my beard hair was really quite orange!

(In the middle east, people often wondered if I was hajj.)

It was a Long Boat Danidl... Narrow boat is rather later, metallic, somewhat slower and terrible on sea..
Had Vikings relied on Narrow boats for exploration I doubt they, d have got beyond their own fjords.
Viking boats /ships were surprisingly broad...

The government is now set to allow more & more foreign labour back into the country. The polar opposite of what Brexit campaign was mostly based around. Announcements of this nature seem to be a daily occurrence.

Apart from the economic sanctions and penalties we’ve imposed upon ourselves, is there anything left of Brexit?

Thinking about it, most countries need to engage in genocide, launch missiles over neighbouring countries or have an illegal nuclear arms programme in order to attract economic sanctions. We don’t seem to even have the capability to do any of those things, so we’ve voted for the sanctions instead.

Completely off topic... But just to note how much sailing world has changed..
Its just been Weymouth speed week. (I didn't go because little wind was forecast)
For normal windsurfing most need a minimum of 13 kts or so to get planing.. And that means massive boards and massive sails.
They had max of 10 kts and foiling boards managed 24 kts...
When I started water based speed sailing record was 17 kts and needed perhaps 30kts to do it.(out right record now 60+ mph or so, depends which craft you accept?)
Don't think many other sports have witnessed such massive developments.
The new Americas Cup boats have now all been launched for next event.. The new New Zealand boat is aledgedly at another level.??
(Google AC75 if interested)
