In that case one of these would be more appropriate.

Glad you promoted me to deputy..I think that lamp can be relit, ordinary miners not allowed to relight lamps. It was a bosses...
But either quite appropriate.. Used to amaze me how many kids could pass wind on command.
PS, I, m just sat having a coffee outside Grand Hotel Scarborough revelling in how good my sight is in right eye without glasses.. Its incredible. My sight has never been as good. Amazing considering how poor it was pre op. Just hope left is as successful. Our NHS is unbelievable. Big thanks.. Again.

True, but I wasn't an ordinary miner. ;)
I'm sure the methane percentage in some of our classrooms exceeded the upper explosive limit, so quite safe.

Hmm! so it's over is it?
Excellent result, showing how obedient our population is. An example to the world.

Last year they were told to avoid Covid, and column 1 shows how well they did that.

This year they were told to live with Covid, and column 2 shows they are doing just that.

Makes one proud to be British.

Anyone think a flu vaccination might be a good idea?

GP surgeries are being forced to cancel appointments for the winter flu jab after the NHS’s biggest provider warned that it could not deliver supplies for up to two weeks due to “unforeseen road freight challenges”.

Screwing it up - again? more?

The i says:

Ministers have been left 'exasperated' by watchdog's decision as concerns mount that
the return to school could cause a spike in Covid cases, as has been seen in Scotland

Trouble is, even if the JVCI had said yes, go ahead, full steam, there is not the remotest possibility of actually vaccinating more than a token handful before start of term. Even they would only get a first vaccination in time, and immunity takes time to develop. Making a difference very proximal to nil before the start of term.

The government might be annoyed, but planning for pre-autumn term vaccination needed to have been in place months ago. With implementation already well established and, indeed, well through the first vaccinations, and seconds starting soon.
