Damn it .. I find myself agreeing with you again.
The people charged with keeping society going must be the highest priority The greatest good for the greatest number.. Where in your hierarchy you put policemen ,,first responders , and MPs ,I am not sure, but they certainly are higher than high court judges ,and cost accountants .
Might be worth giving politicians and accountants a contraceptive jab at the same time

Daughter returned to work this morning. All fine...
For information... Between stations she covers and car home she volunteers at they have had 48 cases recently, all of whom have been vaccinated. (ages 35 to 90+) Out of these 2 have been hospitalised for observation. One a 76 Yr old, other 35 Yr old both with serious underlying conditions. No deaths. Rest relatively minor symptoms.
Daughter oversees water rescue for service. They were not allowed to train at local (closed) lake because RYA insisted they had to have rescue cover available?? Had to move to another lake. Sort of ironic the organisation established to provide water rescue has to have rescue provided by somebody else whilst training..??? Wonder who provides cover for RNLI whilst they train. World really has gone mad.
Folk having had covid shouldn't bother testing for 90 days post infection? (Instructions from on high?) Didn't realise that..

The pound is strong against the Dollar, almost $1:40. I remember Woosh saying he had to increase bike prices when it was very weak. I might treat myself now that the price of a new one is set to plummet :D

no chance of that. This time the excuse is the cost of the sea containers...going up 600%.
A 40ft container used to cost $1800 from China a year ago, now it's $14,000.
imports have rocketed while exports are down.

That's probably because the test responds to the dead particles of the virus left long after the infection in exactly the same way as it does to the live virus. However I do think 90 days is a bit extreme, I'm sure I'd have blown my nose by then.

Well thats my second cycle since last September. My first was just before the snow of last week. Groin surgery, bad weather , more bad weather put a pay to it up til now. What a contrast. Blizzard on Friday Saturday, torrential rain yesterday, and a pleasant sunshine day today... Actually more than pleasant with our thermal solar heating our tank to 51. Celsius by early afternoon.

I’m pleased you had a nice ride.

My Dyson Sphere is chugging away nicely today. It’s putting out a steady 75 Petawatts at the moment.

Last Thursday I posted local vaccination figures which included health & social care staff at 99.5%. Yet today Hancock reports:

Covid vaccine take-up lower among health workers, says Hancock

The health secretary said 80% of NHS staff received jabs, compared with 90% of those in top four age groups

I suggest that is a pretty significant difference. Enough to ask why?

(As well as the usual question as to whether Hancock is giving figures for England or the UK.)

It probably has something to do with many health workers coming from the BLAME community. They believe white medicine man will suck soul from arm with syringe, or some other equally mental superstition.

I heard about that (from an acquaintance that import lamps and face insolvency). Call me nuts, but surely that makes buying a truck and doing a few monumental road trips to china at least worth considering?

OK - you are nuts.

Try to make it simple by buying a truck in China, loading it up and driving. How many countries do you have to drive through? How many links do you need to use (ferries, trains)? Getting your papers right. Abiding by Covid-19 rules which could be ever-changing. And how many days do you expect it to take?
