Do other countries count “vaccinated” as being as per the manufacturer’s instructions, ie two doses 3 weeks apart? Or do they do a U.K., ie rip up the instructions, make up some new ones and count one dose as being vaccinated?

Not sure, if you search our figures there are now 300,000 having received 2nd dose. (our figures above are those having had protection, not vaccines given)
WHO indicated anybody wishing to use same regime as UK they would support. (I think Germany was considering it)
But surely indecision and waiting is worse than going ahead one way or another.
In France's case both people receiving jab are still waiting.
Poor Belgians must be upset. Vaccine produced there, they have worst figures in Europe and yet only 7 people per 10000 vaccinated. (ours is 394)
The organisation for whole world for this entire crisis has been appalling.
When vaccine received regulation it should have triggered a response immediately,everywhere. They all seem incapable of parallel systems. Everything is done one following other.

You know even walking slowly covers more distance if you start an hour earlier than the guy on the ebike, travelling 5 times faster in the first 10 minutes. The rest of the EU commenced 29 th December, the UK.. end of November.. so your table is factually correct but pointless

at present, we vaccinate about 200,000 people a day, the EU's target is more than 2 million people a day. The problem is not in the number of vaccinators but in stock availability, that means advanced orders and good delivery schedule. Pfizer said that the original scheduled orders from the EU are now accelerated.

I think I remember the word being "secured" - which is open to interpretation.

I mentioned the other day that India had effectively commandeered all vaccine in the country. Our securing an order from a company in India might mean nothing with that having been done. However, I am NOT aware any of "our" vaccines being in that position.

A) Any so called developed nation once having got regulatory approval for a vaccine should be able to immediately start vaccinating its society at I, d guess 4% per week? Not building up to 3% eventually. The point was nobody has achieved anything like that.
