You're so old school. You remind me of my dad when I used to be listening to Jimi Hendrix. You need to get modern. I would start by learning your pronouns:
There’s nothing wrong with my pronouns. I don’t recognise LGBGTRNLIRACAAGREENFLAGBAMEBLM or whatever is in fashion this week. It’s all fabricated nonsense created by the mentally ill. Conspiracy theory stuff, like the great reset and Covid is a hoax

Regarding the remainder of your post, yes my outlook is older than my age.

Now let’s get those dour, no nonsense men back on the telly teaching physics, mathematics and English. Non of the social or sports science crap. That’s for people who want to serve chips and burgers to punters in a pub, and we aren’t going to have many of those left.

These American "Christians" are a forgiving lot!

Now that's what I call comprehensive, they've even put themselves on the list!
"So called Christians"
I quite liked the to option to "Obey Hellfire"
You have been warned. Lay to rest thy Brexit grievance and walk in my ethereal light toward new pastures. Let your soul be nourished by the goodness of this independent and sovereign land

Credit due.

Do other countries count “vaccinated” as being as per the manufacturer’s instructions, ie two doses 3 weeks apart? Or do they do a U.K., ie rip up the instructions, make up some new ones and count one dose as being vaccinated?
Not sure, if you search our figures there are now 300,000 having received 2nd dose. (our figures above are those having had protection, not vaccines given)
WHO indicated anybody wishing to use same regime as UK they would support. (I think Germany was considering it)
But surely indecision and waiting is worse than going ahead one way or another.
In France's case both people receiving jab are still waiting.
Poor Belgians must be upset. Vaccine produced there, they have worst figures in Europe and yet only 7 people per 10000 vaccinated. (ours is 394)
The organisation for whole world for this entire crisis has been appalling.
When vaccine received regulation it should have triggered a response immediately, everywhere. They all seem incapable of parallel systems. Everything is done one following other.
"it's past regulation today"
"oh, let's order the vials then".
Bonkers. All of it. (UK included, we just aren't quite as bad on this particular aspect)

Looked at as % vaccines to go, remembering with two vaccinations required, that means a goal of 200. A long way for all countries.

But I do remember that even the longest journey starts with a single step.

You know even walking slowly covers more distance if you start an hour earlier than the guy on the ebike, travelling 5 times faster in the first 10 minutes. The rest of the EU commenced 29 th December, the UK.. end of November.. so your table is factually correct but pointless

wait a few weeks, you'll see how things progress.
The EU have bought half of Pfizer's worldwide stock (600 million doses) for the year and a considerable number of doses from Moderna and Zeneca. That's industrial muscles.

  • AstraZeneca: 400 million doses
  • Sanofi-GSK: 300 million doses
  • Johnson & Johnson: 400 million doses
  • CureVac: 405 million doses
  • Moderna: 160 million doses

Haven't we purchased 100 million doses of the Astra vaccine? That’s on top of the others. So we have purchased enough to vaccinate everyone who needs it. Therefore, it doesn’t matter how much the EU has bought.

We just have to hope the bloke living next door to the Minister for Horseracing isn't handling the contract from a startup company with business premises in his garage and Fridge freezer! :D

let just wait a few weeks to see how well we do.
at present, we vaccinate about 200,000 people a day, the EU's target is more than 2 million people a day. The problem is not in the number of vaccinators but in stock availability, that means advanced orders and good delivery schedule. Pfizer said that the original scheduled orders from the EU are now accelerated.

I think I remember the word being "secured" - which is open to interpretation.

I mentioned the other day that India had effectively commandeered all vaccine in the country. Our securing an order from a company in India might mean nothing with that having been done. However, I am NOT aware any of "our" vaccines being in that position.

Chartwell is a company with links to the Conservative party. The chairman of Chartwell is a Tory party donor worked as a paid adviser to David Cameron. Chartwell have “won” the contract to supply food packages for children as part of the free school meal programme / debacle. Chartwell is being paid £30 / parcel. One of these parcels has been analysed and valued. The contents can be purchased at retail prices from Asda for £5.25.

What sort of people can believe that it’s acceptable to make a 500% profit off the back of children who’s parents are struggling for money? What type of people think it’s ok to profit to such an extent during a pandemic, which is resulting in parents losing their income?Just what was discussed at Chartwell when they were deciding what to put in these parcels? This is grotesque beyond belief.

The backdrop to this is an army of closed restaurant proprietors wanting to deliver this service at cost. Taxi drivers willing to deliver them for free too. This government blanked them all and gave the contract to their chums.

Scum.

Fear not! Marcus is on the case. With his track record, we can expect changes very soon.

'Not good enough': Marcus Rashford condemns free school meal packages
Minister and provider vow to investigate as Starmer criticises ‘woefully inadequate’ parcels
https://www.theguardian.com/education/2021/jan/12/not-good-enough-marcus-rashford-condemns-free-school-meal-packages

Perhaps a clause in the contract that the families of the directors also have to live on the packages they supply? (Randomly selected from all of them to avoid being able to pick the ones supplied by Fortnum's .)

Its thread policy. Four and a half thousand posts and you now realise some posts are pointless..Not that quick are you Danidl.

Besides 2 points are..
A) Any so called developed nation once having got regulatory approval for a vaccine should be able to immediately start vaccinating its society at I, d guess 4% per week? Not building up to 3% eventually. The point was nobody has achieved anything like that.

B) It wasn't pointless it annoyed you.

At four and a half thousand posts, British World Beating thread policy.

And all entirely consistent with the Tory government aim of maximum activity, all by volunteers, achieving the minimum results at the least possible cost.

As David Cameron would proudly say, it's the Big Society.
