Look at Georgia. Trump's lead was narrowing as the officials counted the postal votes. Guess what, they stopped at 10% votes remaining!
I think Trump is going to lose when Georgia starts counting again.

I guess it will depend on how long it takes them to work out how many Trump votes they need to accidentally “lose” and how many votes cast after polls closed, they need to count.

Trump wouldn't say that he'll go to the Supreme Court if he didn't think that the final count will confirm he's won.
We'll know soon.
Georgia and North Carolina will predict the winner later this evening, Pennsylvania tomorrow. Biden will need to win one of the 3, Trump will need all 3.

The way I see it Georgia and N Carolina will go Trump - as will Pennsylvania - but those are not the problem for Trump - the problem is Wisconsin and Michigan - which though Trump is ahead now the postal votes will probably take it Bidens way.

So Biden will win by 3 electoral college votes.

Trump is such a twat coming out saying he's won and saying the election has been stolen.

This is hardly going to unite the country.

This is a question and answer piece with Nate Silver the founder of FiveThirtyEight polling site. It covers some of the things they have put in place to try and be more accurate this time around, I wonder if it will work, they give Trump only a 12% chance of success.

Well so much for pollsters, they must now be held in lower regard than tabloid journalists or even our senior cabinet members. How did so many pollsters get it wrong when they had 4 years to work on their methodology. I heard on the radio one pollster got it right, and he got it right in 2016 too but has taken loads of flak from all the other pollsters because he was so different to them.

I have a feeling in my water that Trump is going to pull this off. Once again, the polls have failed to acknowledge that people feel bullied into not admitting that they are going to vote for Trump.
I don't really see how Biden can win now. Trump is going to do the following
a) If it looks like he is going to win then he will let the count continue and things will more or less carry on as before.

b) If it looks like Biden is going to win then Trump will kick up a massive fuss, lawyers will be unleashed and the count will be paused or some of the mail in votes which have mainly gone for Biden will be discounted. This will drag on for several weeks through the various court system. It will eventually end up in the Supreme Court and Trump has a 6 to 3 majority there and so is likely to get what he wants.

Yeah right. Fact is people don't tell the truth to pollisters and people decide on the day.

Democracy rules OK!

Trump is talking out his butt. Millions of legitimate votes have yet to be counted. I am no Biden fan (to be perfectly honest I would have probably voted Trump) - but the way I see it Biden is going to win this thing - by a whisker.

I don't think pollsters are very wrong.
vfr has already made the point that Trump narrowed the gap in the last 2 weeks.
Trump knows how to bring his supporters out to vote.
That does not mean that pollsters are just as wrong as last time though.
Wisconsin, Michigan will go to Biden and possibly Pennsylvania and N. Carolina will too.
Trump will lose.

The fact that 48% of the US voters have voted for Trump says all we need to know about the USA... irrespective of how it pans out.

It also tells us what 48% of the USA’s voters, that’s about 75,000,000 people think of you! :D

If you want up to the minute vote count, head for

Biden - Trump: only 600 votes between them in Michigan.

The pollsters are all paid partisans. Nearly all institutions are compromised now. Where do you think they get their funding from? This is what Trump and his backers are trying to sort out, but all these compromised institutions are working together against them, so their chance of success isn't high.

How is it an improvement?

Biden overtook Trump in Michigan 7 minutes ago.
Trump has lost and the exit polls were pretty accurate.

Can somebody explain this for me because I'm a bit miffed. I'm looking at two government graphs for covid deaths. One says deaths by date reported and the other one says deaths by date of death. Yesterday, 88 people died, but 397 deaths were reported. Does that mean that there are a lot of liars reporting deaths that didn't happen, or did they suddenly find a trove of reports for deaths from 6 months ago?

Why do they always use the deaths reported number on the news rather than the number of people that actually died?

The Number of deaths per day is still more or less flat-lining since 21st Oct, and it might already be dropping before the lockdown has started.
