"Ken Clarke"

On that note where will the 21 ex Tories sit in Parliament since they're no longer officially Tories anymore...

Extraordinarily, Rory Stewart received the text just as he was going on stage to collect an award as one of GQ magazine's men of the year.

He told the lively audience: "I'm very proud to take the award as politician of the year on the evening of which I cease to be a politician."

We seem to be talking about a three month extension to Brexit as though it’s a given. Of course, we need to ask the EU very nicely if they will grant it. The EU should agree to grant an extension, a three year extension or nothing. Every extension they have granted so far, which must bring with it, unwelcome uncertainty for them, has been squandered by the U.K. with holidays, laziness and incompetence. The next extension should be 3 years minimum.

Rory Stewart said on GMTV this morning that he would stand as an independent if deselected at a GE..How many votes would he take off the new Tory candidate??
I suppose the answer to that question relies on how many fat necked, shaven headed, sausage gobbling Brexit drones, live in his constituency.

Probably most of them. Constituency parties have a record of being angry with governments that deselect their choice of MP, especially when they've been good at their job like Rory Stewart.

Many of these sacked MPs will stand as independent Conservative anyway, so still attracting Tory votes.

From the Farage BC roadshow in Colchester (sad to say I know one of them from the cricket circuit) showing likely suspects prospects

The one taking a dump looks a likely candidate....

This is an interesting development
" today - in a swipe at Boris Johnson's vastly-diminished authority, the 21 Tory rebel MPs took their usual seats on Government benches & refused to cross the House - a fact noted by Theresa May, who *sat next to Ken Clarke*.. Johnson's days are numbered "

My goodness, as fingers might say Brexit just gets better and better for me!

Labour confirm they will not back a general election on Boris Johnson's terms
Shadow Brexit Secretary Keir Starmer confirmed that Jeremy Corbyn will not back a general election proposed by the prime minister unless there is a Brexit extension.

Do or die, Boris?

It must be true because Mr Savid Dajid, or whatever his name is, has said so. There is no longer a shortage of money.
