Boris will pledge to introduce Panda Hunting and Swan Shooting as each races to the bottom.

Honestly, why do these ***** (rhymes with hunts) want to kill things? Wildlife asks for nothing more than to be left alone and to survive.
There is the thinking of a 'townie' (as my gran used to say). ie - somebody who has never lived a proper country life. Fox hunting is a cultural thing. City folk just don't get it.

"
Jeremy Hunt to push to legalise foxhunting if he becomes PM

Tally Ho!
The UNSPEAKABLE in pursuit of
the UNEATABLE!

What will Boris promise to beat that?

Hunt (apt name) also said this
"

You eat meat do you? Its not a sport. It's cultural. Living in a city you would not understand. Townies - they're all the same.

Brought up on a farm in the countryside lived in the countryside, still do.

Just shows that you know FA.

Fox hunters are the sort of people who get an erection at the thought of an animal suffering. That’s why they do it, that’s the cultural thing they derive gratification / titillation from.

My gran would say the townies have got to you! Bless her. I can still see her sitting in her chair watching the wrestling with a fag hanging down out her mouth me wondering how much longer before the ash would fall. It never did - she always caught it just before. "Go get me 10 number 7" she's say - then write me a note to give to the shop keeper. Ah. The 60s. Fond memories.

I just don’t like the idea of killing animals for pleasure. The animals don’t deserve that.

Wrong comparison, no-one eats foxes.

The French have it right and think we are mad hunting them, nearly 100 years ago banning an English foxhunt in France.

The French only hunt what they eat, very sensible.

There is a sort of perverse pleasure derived by some in hunting them, but I do believe that an element of control is needed. If not they will become a nuisance. There are no natural predators to control them

Foxes are only moving into urban areas because humans are unable to control their own breading. This results in the destruction of the fox’s habitat for evermore housing development.

Fox Hunting contributes absolutely nothing in therms of controlling numbers. It’s just unnecessary cruelty.

Page discussing fox population mentions rabbits, Cymag, shooting, gamebird population - but not hunting.

Can't imagine enough hunts to control the fox population.

The most effective control in the country is night shooting using lamping, infinitely more effective than hunting with dogs and far less disruptive.

In urban and suburban areas the high numbers killed by traffic are plenty of control.

It's not often realized that the average life of a fox is only one to three years. In Britain, circumstances control fox numbers very effectively, their life is very hard.

French must be eating mountain bikers and occasional sun bather.

Hunting is a massive problem in France. When I lived there we never went in mountain areas Wednesdays or Saturdays, chausser days. Out hunting boar. Yes, they eat the ones they shoot and often leave young to starve or get savaged by sanglier hounds. Its just as cruel as fox hunting, far more widespread. Its a nightmare when they are out.

Not true. There is a huge problem of urban foxes.

Traffic controlling the population....

That’s up there with Gerald level nonsense.

To be fair if fifty could get around the breading issue he would deep fry them or make escalopes
