You have to give them a proper go. They will make you ache for at least two weeks. It’s retraining you to walk properly.
It wasn't ache. It was one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. Sleep was impaired. To begin with I couldn't drive. And you most certainly don't retrain yourself to walk properly if it is too painful to walk at all!

They normally say twenty mins or so a day and build up to it.

You wouldn't go out in high heels for a night if you hadn't practiced as I found out in a very painful life lesson.

I'm fine now though.

What will Boris promise to beat that?
he already said would remove tax on sugary foods.
Perhaps he'll ban low calorie options.

I did say "wearing" for about two hours. Standing/walking was about ten minutes. They were so uncomfortable I put my shoes on and just sat for most of the time.

Boris will pledge to introduce Panda Hunting and Swan Shooting as each races to the bottom.

Honestly, why do these ***** (rhymes with hunts) want to kill things? Wildlife asks for nothing more than to be left alone and to survive. They are sick in the head.

I was watching a male fox on the edge of a small copse of trees last night as I walked my dog at dusk. Foxes are magnificent creatures. What manner of person derives pleasure from seeing them chased to beyond exhaustion, suffer unimaginable terror and then the awful death of literally being torn apart? All for the titillation of an inbred, bulbous fore-headed psychopath.

About 30 years ago, I accidentally disrupted a hunt. It was a genuine error because I had no idea a hunt was taking place and being in my twenties at the time, had no feelings either way, pro or anti-hunt. I was legally on the land taking part in another activity when the hunt came through. A furious purple faced stereotypical huntsman on horseback came charging at me, crop raised and I thought he was going to hit me with it. He jumped a fence into the field where I was, but the horse tripped, and did a kind of mid-air forward roll, landing on its back crushing the rider. It was a terrible upsetting experience and I can still see it vividly 30 years later.

Isn't it the obvious answer to the excess of unicorns?

Where I used to live, they had a regular drag hunt, and I do think it was genuinely so, not just a disguised fox hunt. The people who participated seemed to thoroughly enjoy the riding - which is understandable. But there seemed very little support for killing anything so I doubt that was even an option.

You must just have weak or deformed feet then.

I do hope it wasn’t too trivial.

Anyway. Silent C Hunt has railed back on his hunt musings.

I just wonder what’s going on. The new Prime Minister hopefuls are offering Fox Hunting, Tax breaks for the highest earners and the removal of incentives not to eat poor quality food. WTF.

I can only think that they are trying to appeal to a group of people other than the general voting public. Maybe those who now select the new PM have interests in Fox Hunting, high income and the junk food industry?

As in the 150k of Tory members?

Surely it’s just a coincidence?

You are being too cynical for words.

maybe they would be better investing in teaching people how to cook proper food at school, to try and get them away from eating factory produced food. I believe that is one of the biggest causes of obesity, and also cooking food from fresh is a lot cheaper. It was typically summed up a few months ago when KFC had a supply problem, with some mother wailing about having to go to Burger King instead for an evening meal. Good grief a pound of good mince for about £3.50, with a few veg a bit of time and a bit of imagination, can create six to eight nutritious meals. Stop trying to solve all our problems with taxes. To me it just shows how short sighted and bereft of ideas our politicians of whatever persuasion are.
