those comments related to what would happen if we voted for leave, not when we actually left, but I suppose it's the same with the money for the NHS. which is continually being cited .We haven't left yet. So in conclusion there is a lot of hysterical crap being spouted by both sides. The truth is somewhere in the middle of the two extremes
Very true, both sides behaved appallingly during the referendum and still are today. The real losers are the public, whichever side you support. But, what did you expect from a bunch of career politicians who's hypocrisy and greed knows no limit?

And now we are faced with the possibility that the worst of all of them could end up as Prime Minister!

Saw this and reminded of the pop gun discussion - not surprising the Romans found Britland a walkover...

And on an invasion trail of thought, I think I stumbled across the perfect patron Saint for brexiters while reading Night Raid about the Bruneval radar raid. St George doesn't count as he was a Johnny Foreigner.

I hereby nominate Robert Watson-Watt 1935 who declared 'Britain has become an island once more' following a successful trial of RDF / radar and thereafter only took about 5 years to get operational.

Which leads onto the techy problem with Huawei network infrastructure. Can the UK plug the gap with developing and manufacturing replacement hardware and systems inspired by plucky go it alone brexit back-to-the-wallers - might even flog it for it profit to the US ;-) - same goes for a replacement for Galileo that we well could be excluded from.

I agree the Remain faction behaved appallingly .. They resolutely failed to warn their more simple minded friends of the risks they were running. .. Possibly because even they could not distinguish a disaster from a catastrophe.

The answer is no. We once had a substantial electrical and electronics industry as this list of some past names shows, GEC, Plessey, Mullard, Marconi, STC, A.H.Hunt, Redifon, Bush, Murphy, Ekco, Thorn, Pye and many others who have long disappeared.

Though we have more recently had a few examples in micro electronics with considerable expertise, we no longer have the scale or breadth to compete in the areas relevant today.

Don't wish to be seen as a party pooper but the Germans developed their own radar about the same time, Radar was installed on a German pocket battleship as early as 1936. and the jet engine too.
As the the last paragraph.....not if the Government has anything to do with it!

You missed off having created that disaster by the application of "Artificial Stupidity"
The most powerful weapon in the Conservative Arsenal
And it had taken them 40 years to poison the public mind against the EU

But the problem is they have dire operational problems.
I believe these are pernicious parasitic lifeforms that demand instant and immediate gratification
Technically they are known as "Accountants"
If it doesn't yield a profit by the weekend forget it.

Unfortunately, not everyone has the same level of wisdom, foresight and fortitude to which you perceive yourself to be blessed with. Congratulations, you are a sensational human being. (Is that ok & is it how you want us to regard you?)

Not sufficient, but you are on the correct track.

The guy has classic Stockholm Syndrome.

It's text book.
What?
"feelings of trust or affection felt in many cases of kidnapping or hostage-taking by a victim towards a captor. "

He may have something but I don't think it's that, what is the connection to him?

He clearly doesn't personify the EU as his captor, even if you do, he sees the freedoms offered as his his liberator, and you as the one under the thrall of Brexit as your captor.

He could from his point of view describe your penchant for Brexit as "Stockholm syndrome"

The supposition you made is nonsense if applied to either of you.
