I agree the Remain faction behaved appallingly .. They resolutely failed to warn their more simple minded friends of the risks they were running. .. Possibly because even they could not distinguish a disaster from a catastrophe.
It's not surprising you are a fan of the EU....If the UK had had a net gain of almost £50 billion since joining, Then I'm sure we would have voted to stay. Unfortunately while Southern Ireland is a parasite of the EU, The UK is a host.

Saw this and reminded of the pop gun discussion - not surprising the Romans found Britland a walkover...

And on an invasion trail of thought, I think I stumbled across the perfect patron Saint for brexiters while reading Night Raid about the Bruneval radar raid. St George doesn't count as he was a Johnny Foreigner.

I hereby nominate Robert Watson-Watt 1935 who declared 'Britain has become an island once more' following a successful trial of RDF / radar and thereafter only took about 5 years to get operational.

Which leads onto the techy problem with Huawei network infrastructure. Can the UK plug the gap with developing and manufacturing replacement hardware and systems inspired by plucky go it alone brexit back-to-the-wallers - might even flog it for it profit to the US ;-) - same goes for a replacement for Galileo that we well could be excluded from.
Sadly not. Our universities only offer courses in, Mood Expression through Free Dance Movement theses days. It’s much easier for us to get a population educated to degree level by offering these types of courses. You can even get a First just by attending over 25% of seminars and it’s only going to cost £7.5K / year soon. As if that wasn’t good enough, it gets even better, you will be also be able to carry the course debts into your 60s! That’s so old you can put it of of your mind, you will never need to worry about repayments.

The boring stuff such as Physics and Engineering is too much like hard work. It only leads to a low paid career, a life in overalls and carrying a monkey wrench. We have Germans and Chinese to suffer that fate for us.

Brexit BOMBSHELL: Remainer Sajid Javid to take UK out of Europe with NO deal in PM bid

As Trustworthy as a Conservative

"You don't like my principles?
Well, I have others!"

Groucho Marx
A bizarre contest seems to have broken out whereby all of the eager hopefuls are trying to outbid each other over how much damage they can inflict on the country.

As if the last three years of incompetence haven’t been embarrassing enough for the U.K. the world must now be looking on with jaw-dropping amazement as our Prime Minister is chosen by way of a Dutch Auction.

WTF is going on in this country.

All but Florence of Belgravia.

(Only fell across this "title" this morning but rather liked it as amusement. :D )

This is what Brexit Voters in the main didn't vote for, but it describes what they were hoodwinked to achieve.
http://www.brexitshambles.com/300-hedge-fund-companies-were-represented-by-vote-leave-during-the-referendum-campaign-and-they-formed-the-biggest-demographic-of-their-membership/

The mugging of all time barely covers it, and these parasites are still in business.
There is still lots of potential for them to continue fleecing the public.

"Never give a sucker an even break" is the leave motto

Another snippet to show how people can be conned
Google search history on "No deal Brexit"

Are we to conclude that people voted for Brexit only to realise much later after the referendum in response to a propaganda campaign favouring a No deal crash out , that they had no idea what was involved?
The graph makes it all too clear.

An Agree is hardly sufficient.

Yes, yes, yes. Those in position to investigate should already have done so. To have the same people involved in the EP elections is a severe compounding of the situation and suggests that this will NEVER be properly conducted.

My goodness is this true?

He can't say he wasn't warned, can he?
But as we know just as the press are free to lie
The politicians are too, and he will get away with it?

Is that a genuine quote? Do we have chapter and verse? Could it be used in evidence?
That's why I asked "Could this be true" and I'm trying to trace it back, personally i think its a spoof, but even if it isn't it won't make any difference, will it?

I don't think even BJ is dumb enough to reveal the true reason why he wanted Brexit.
Neither do I, I have been trying to trace it back to source
but ran into this on a Google search
"Some results may have been removed under data protection law in Europe. "
Whatever that may mean.
On Balance I think this is Fake propaganda.

Where is VFR when we need a good conspiracy theory? It appears that the rates of crime and violence dropped throughout the west when we started using more unleaded petrol. Do you think the oil companies have started slipping it back into their fuel. No idea why they might do that but there has to be some nutter on YouTube with a theory on it.

If not I think I might go on there and start my own, could get VFR as one of my advocates, maybe start a political party. Think of a catchy name how about the Ledxit Party. Just one policy, take the Lead out of Unleaded petrol.

Your knowledge of the biological sciences rivals that of your command of economics. The appropriate term for the Irish relationship with the EU is symbiosis.

I was thinking about the guy off Labour NEC who got suspended the other day. Someone said that the only way he could stay in the Labour parts is if the tape has been doctored. Now I don't think this has actually happened, but I think this is either possible to do now or if not will be very shortly.

It reminded me of an Arnold Schwarzenegger film, where a video was being shown of him in real time killing people. It wasn't real however it was being doctored. Now I would imagine we are a long way off being able to do that type of thing in real time, but how soon will it be before a video can be doctored and released later, and its impossible to tell it has been altered. If that happens then we are going to be in big trouble.
