..less of the elderly please, some of us are knocking on that door. !No, sentences are set by the circumstances of each case. Jeremy being elderly (70 now) would be an important factor.
.
re you taking the proverbial again?Ah yes, the product of micturition.
.
Hence the saying 'Taking the P#$$.'I agree...£5.25 for a milkshake is criminal. I can think of some other liquid that's free that I could take to one of his rallies.
the punishment should match the crime. The important factor is it needs to be stopped. Before you accuse me of hero worship again, I would think the same if anybody was attacked in this way. There has to be a deterrent.
WTF are you on about.the punishment should match the crime.
If he had got splattered by pigeons instead of milkshake, would he have pressed charges?
if it had been thrown at a female mp would it still be only a milkshake??Rumour has it the guy throwing milk shake is an ex team rider for Sky.. He, ll be on a pedelec now I bet.
Come on, it was a milk shake. It happens. It comes with the territory.
what about common assaultI reckon the thrower would plead damage to property.
Fine and compensation, no jail.
why did the man get 28 days for hitting Corbyn with an egg. And didn't it happen almost immediatelyI agree, but in a world where even someone who physically assaults a police officer often doesn't get anything like six months imprisonment, a severe sentence is unlikely for someone throwing a milk shake at a fit and healthy person.
If the offender has no criminal record, a fine is likely. For some while now the courts have been told to avoid short prison sentences up to 28 days, since they clog up the system for no good purpose. Remember only half each sentence is served.
.
A t 83 I'm not just knocking on that door, I'm almost through!..less of the elderly please, some of us are knocking on that door. !
The distinction surely would be on whether the projectile has the capacity to physically injure.
Yes.if it had been thrown at a female mp would it still be only a milkshake??
The forum wouldn't let me enter p¦ss in the usual way, not even with the usual substitute letter disguises.re you taking the proverbial again?
I don't understand your question.why did the man get 28 days for hitting Corbyn with an egg. And didn't it happen almost immediately
What else would a milkshake be?if it had been thrown at a female mp would it still be only a milkshake??
And no one was charged when Milliband was egged, so what is your point?why did the man get 28 days for hitting Corbyn with an egg. And didn't it happen almost immediately
Knocking on that door? almost through? classic British Understatement there flecc!A t 83 I'm not just knocking on that door, I'm almost through!
Where physical assault on an elderly person is concerned I think the psychological aspects of shock are also important. Our vulnerability due to reduced self defence abilities with age can make the effect of an attack far more severe.
.
And John Prescott dealt out summary justice when it happened to him.And no one was charged when Milliband was egged, so what is your point?
He's been charged with that and other things toowhat about common assault
