I went out shopping today in the next town. I visited a couple of pound shops, every charity shop I could find and Greggs to fill up with grub and do you know I never saw a single solitary Fascist. Looked everywhere even in Wilko's, but no not a Fascist in sight. Perhaps they're all up north because there's none here on the south coast.
There again maybe the EU eradicated them all, what do you think?

BTW what does a Fascist look like, anyone know?
Pretty much the same as a Gullible mug, didn't you know?

No party can represent both sides in a digital decision. Its an impossibility. They must agree on in or out.
This time parties are irrelevant.

The vast majority of MPs in our parliament are agreed, we should remain in the EU. As a parliamentary democracy and not a referenda one, we should scrap the referendum result and get back to governing the country in the normal way.

And government should be honest with the people about this, pointing out that referenda have been a disaster, dividing the country in the worst of ways each time, whether the 1975 or the 2016 ones.

If the people really do want to leave the EU in our democracy, the right way is to form a party with that objective at its core and stand for election to do it. But of course that has already been done by UKIP, and they failed.

That is why we should remain in the EU, the Leave inclined people showed by not backing UKIP, the true Leave party, that they don't have sufficient belief in leaving the EU.

They had their chance in our democratic system and they blew it.

Well at least it negates the argument over inheritance tax.

Maybe care homes are the vehicle for the biggest and most scandalous transfer of ordinary people’s merge wealth into the hands of the few mega wealthy people?

No change. Situation apathy.
Sorry for replying to my own post!

I reckon that for a medium-sized care home with say 30 people, who are a mixture of private funders and council funded residents, bringing in roughly £30,000 per week, I could balance the books.

Did you know that most of the big owners of these care homes have sold the actual property and now lease it back? Did you also know that Saudi Arabia is the biggest purchaser of care home buildings which have been sold? How was this allowed to happen?

Meanwhile, a government “think tank” proposes to put us all through the rinser in the form of increased NI to fund this cluster......

If they get away with this, which I’m convinced they will, they can do anything they like and we just drop our trousers and touch our toes.

Good post flecc. Cant disagree with anything in there.
Trouble is promises were made and they opened the box, thinking nothing would come out...

That's why we need a government with enough courage to do as I've posted. It wouldn't be undemocratic since the public still have exactly the same democratic option to vote to leave the right way in our system.

They have UKIP and now the Brexit party as well, and there's nothing stopping other Leave parties being formed. Scrapping the referendum result would split the Tories, and with Labour already split too, those Leave parties could then form a coalition to take us out, the correct parliamentary way that doesn't leave the public at each other's throats.

Although not suiting me, I'd support that outcome.

people abandoned UKIP after the referendum because they thought that the 2 main parties who campaigned on a platform of honoring the vote would do what they said. That was the reason I believe for the collapse in the UKIP vote. Now that we know exactly how dishonest they are I don't think the same mistake will be made again

the dishonest MPs are those who campaign for Leave then vote against the deal because deep down, they want to continue wth campaigning for Leave and not delivering it.
If brexit is delivered and it turns out to cost a large packet, they may lose their jobs. On the other hand, if brexit is still not delivered, they can continue with victimhood.

What is baffling is that we are likely to get Brino through collusion between May and Corbyn, with no referendum or General election.

So what is the point of all this messing around over the EU elections?
And who won and who lost in the end?

An interesting question then appears, what is there for the leave campaign to campaign to leave when technically we have left?
And even more absurd many of the Remain voters will be unsure whether we actually have left after the propaganda we will surely face after the event.

Brexit , all over like a fizzled out damp squib firework that cost billions.
The nearest comparison I can think of is a
"Demob suit" (one size fits nobody)

Then all hell will break out, to paraphrase the words of Aneurin Bevan
"Only an organising genius could inspire the entire population to despise the Government and opposition at the same time.

This is where UKIP and other leave groups have a problem.
What Corbyn and May are likely to agree is a sort of leaving the EU that isn't really.
How do you campaign to leave something after technically we are no longer members?
What have they got to sell the public will relate to and understand?

Well, some people have lost and the rest have lost. It's simple.

I see Gavin Williamson has been ID'd as the scheming traitor playing fast & loose with national security for his own personal gain. He's been fired and Penny Mordaunt is to replace him. The only way this could get any more hilarious is if it's found that a mistake has been made, and that it was Maordaunt who leaked the information. Then they would have to un-sack Williamson, sack Mordaunt and replace her with the previously sacked, but now un-sacked Williamson. That would still leave a vacancy which could be filled by Charlie Cairoli.

What Corbyn and May are likely to agree is a sort of leaving the EU that isn't really.
The latest news from their negotiations is that they are getting closer on agreeing to customs union, both now seeing the advantages.

Not really leaving the EU at all, but being out anyway. As you say, how could we then leave what we aren't in?

Well they will have one of two more chances, either another referendum or a general election. If the 52% don't support UKIP or its policy in either of those, it will be their own fault again.
