I'm not sure what you are getting at. Are you saying the information is false and the pro-remain did not overspend?

I have no idea how much each side spent, but you seem to know. What are the true figures from the accounts, I'd be interested to know.
It was on the bottom of my post
The Electoral Commission says Vote Leave spent £7,449,079, breaching its £7m spendinglimit.
It did not find that the remain campaign had done so.

West West Wales
HS2 should have been built 40 years ago. We should be on HS5 or 6 by now. Our railways are woefully behind other nations, but they are achieving the objective of lining the pockets of the Branson types.
I am not convinced. Certainly our railways lag in many ways - but am not at all sure that very fast trains are the best option. I think it might be better to go for route enhancements such as the newly opened line into Oxford, improvements to track and rolling stock, electrification, etc.

That way, vastly more people would have their needs addressed. Many of us, at one time including me, would use trains daily and high reliability, adequate capacity, improved performance and reasonable comfort every day would have beaten the promise of super-fast London to Birmingham. (I also suspect that the ticket costs of HS2 will put off a lot of people.)

Last I looked, the effect of HS2 looked likely to substantially increase the journey time to Birmingham for me. Getting to an HS2 station alone might have taken a good percentage of the existing journey time.

(Don't care any more. Swansea should be electrified - far more relevant! And reinstate a west Wales coastal railway up to Aberystwyth.)

On the same basis, what did the remain campaign spend?
That depends on where you look! see fingers post. and it's academic now isn't it? the Government isn't going to react to stop Brexit or run the referendum again, despite the cheating, and worse the lies and false promises made by leave

got a feeling it would end up a bit like Concorde with only rich business people being able to afford it

From one of our best inventions to one of our worst.

Concorde was one of the most amazingly designed British product that cut Atlantic travel by half. This takes 20 minutes off a train trip to Birmingham.

Progress....

It was not a British product... It was an EC or more particularly a British French product, next you will be saying St. George was busy slaying dragons in Wiltshire rather than out on the Steppes.. There was a reason why they call that country near Russia Georgia.
But it was an amazing product all the same.. I was once ,in 1977, trapped in Roissy Airport, due to some industrial dispute at Heathrow and saw Concorde take off, fly to New York ,and return during the 11 hours. I n the 1980s I had a caravan at a beach on the Kerry Coast, and regularly at 11:20 you could hear the sonic boom.. It had to be subsonic over the European land mass, so went supersonic at the Irish coast.

Oh for goodness sake Concorde was a FRENCH aircraft we were responsible for engine design
We have posted on this subject before
The French Super-Caravelle was announced at the Paris Air show in 1961

So much for it being a "British Invention!

This is interesting, one of the Urban Myths is that the referendum was the biggest turnout ever of the voting population.
Allow me to urinate on that Bonfire
It is way down the list. but then it is just another of the lies and damned lies passed of as some sort of Holy Truth by the leave Fanatics'
Out of National votes in the last 100 years: roughly 2/3rds had higher %ge turnout roughly 2/3rds had a bigger %ge margin and the GE in 1992 saw more votes cast The ref was 34 months ago: 1/4 of mandates lasted less time. Leave 2 years after Oct 31st? ... a 64 month-old mandate.

It was the biggest turnout in the history of this country.

Fact.

You can go back on ignore now. I just wanted to see if you would bite about Concorde ( you did of course, thank you for the chuckle ) then I saw this.

What nonsense your blind hatred makes you do.

OG doesnt understand numbers or percentages very well.(millions are reading our thread?) Population in 1950 was 50 million.. In 2016 it was 65 million. More people voted in 2016 referendum than any other ever. He doesnt want to see the point. Like the way he is suddenly all offended, I knew I, d seen his face before.
Thought real socialists were anti church, another dogma OG has bought into.

You really are weird, even when presented with facts you still cling to fantasy, so what are you laughing at, do you enjoy making a fool of yourself?
Mandates are judged on percentage terms and that is what the chart covered, simple numbers mean nothing for after all you can argue that more people didn't vote in favour than ever before.
Plus the actual majority leave achieved (4.2%) was numerically far less than many past elections.
Here is an even better idea, just go, we don't need people who only come on as you just boasted intent on making a nuisance of themselves
What makes you post remarks like
"What nonsense your blind hatred makes you do"?
I post the truth, your business is lies and propaganda by your own admission.
Blind hatred of what exactly? sorry but all of your posts will be responded to whether you ignore me or not, hide by all means, that is what cowards do
