OG doesnt understand numbers very well. Population in 1950 was 50 million.. In 2016 it was 65 million. More people voted in 2016 referendum than any other ever. He doesnt want to see the point. Like the way he is suddenly all offended, I knew I, d seen his face before.
Thought real socialists were anti church, another dogma OG has bought into.
Ok I was wrong about the number that turned out due to population increase, but
Perhaps you are the one who doesn't understand figures, it is the percentages that matter and are reported in Government figures, and the pitifully small 4% leave win is not a mandate by any standard and far less than than almost all the voting results in that list.
As usual, you are talking nonsense.
Leave scraped in with a marginal win, a lousy performance that was numerically inferior when compared to many elections in the past, regardless of the increase in population over the years.
If you understood figures as you claim that would be obvious to you.

Another flight of fantasy on your part? I am an Atheist that happens to like fine buildings , and frankly you are no socialist, just a chancer that Voted for Brexit because "It gave the opportunity to cut some fine deals"
That was of course after you first denied having voted at all, then owned up that you had, remember?
Do have a nice day

Thanks for kind thoughts. The reason I put you on ignore was because I was seriously worried about your state of mind. You are plainly struggling, consequently I will not be responding to your barbed comments. I, d prefer you to ignore my comments but whichever way I will not enter into any more futile arguments with you.
Please stop now OG. You have made every possible insult, there really is no point making any more.
I have tried not to comment but even when I have had you on ignore and not comnented about you, you insist on maintaining your vendetta. For goodness sake just stop now. Please.
Your obsession with both this thread and towards certain posters is beginning to look more of an illness.

This is interesting, one of the Urban Myths is that the referendum was the biggest turnout ever of the voting population.
Allow me to urinate on that Bonfire
It is way down the list. but then it is just another of the lies and damned lies passed of as some sort of Holy Truth by the leave Fanatics'
Out of National votes in the last 100 years: roughly 2/3rds had higher %ge turnout roughly 2/3rds had a bigger %ge margin and the GE in 1992 saw more votes cast The ref was 34 months ago: 1/4 of mandates lasted less time. Leave 2 years after Oct 31st? ... a 64 month-old mandate.

Ok I forgot about population increase and this was the biggest numerical turnout, so I was wrong about that, but even taking that into account the numbers leave won by were far smaller than most of the other elections above them in that list,
Still it gave our resident trolls something to crow swagger, boast and insult me about.
Naturally rather than pointing out my mistake they behaved as they usually do.

Do you read your own posts? instead of point out my mistake in forgetting that the voting population has increased, what did you do?
And now you post this?

So lets just put each other on ignore. As I, ve been suggesting for a while. Its why the facility is available, your actions are making it pointless. Perhaps you are not mature enough to agree to differ, ignore each other and move on.

It's not a mandate. It was not a general election.

An interesting point but then normally referendums have a 2:1 threshold to determine whether a mandate exists do they not?
By definition that implies mandate levels do apply to them surely?

I decided to try Viagra after cialis got a side effect in the form of a tide to my head and subsequent dizziness. From Viagra I do not observe this. In general, I began to resort to this kind of drugs because my wife likes to do "this" longer. Constantly said that in porn movies men like that hold on for an hour or more, so I tried. On what you will not go for the sake of darling =).
Welcome to the Forum Caleb1 !
Crikey that was a post I made Jan 31, 2017 , however, I'm pretty sure if anything the average voter feels even worse today!

I wonder sometimes if the hard left actually want to be in power
I'm quite sure Labour haven't wanted to be in power during the Brexit debacle, who in their right minds would want to be?

So much easier to let the Tories take all the fallout and then try for power after some resolution. The tactic of leaving the Tories to do the trade negotiations while taking a part in that by mutual agreement could be smart. They can then avoid blame for anything in the final outcome since the Tories were in charge throughout.

A party doesn't have to be popular to be elected, it's only necessary for the outgoing party to have become very unpopular. The Tories are doing a great job of achieving that, with first austerity and then the Brexit fiasco.
