And that 11 equals the LibDems 11.

Since the Independent group are middle of the road, they and the LibDems could combine and dictate who gets into government at the next GE. Neither the Tories or Labour are likely to get an overwhelming win so another coalition is possible, even quite likely.
.
Hilarious! the Lid Dems strike back? Glory be!
Shades of Foinavon winning the Grand National in 1967 at odds of 100 to 1
after the rest of the field fell, refused or were hampered or brought down in a mêlée
Actually it seems quite appropriate when compared to what is happening in the HOC

Not sure how many of this 11 would hold their seats if there was a GE in the next few months. Both main parties would deploy a lot of resources to try to unseat them I would imagine.

It would be good to see a large group of middle of the road type MPs get together and form something sensible, but our voting system does not really favour this type of thing.

Given the scale of dissatisfaction with both main parties, I think they'd probably all hang on to their seats.

After all, they resigned in protest, so for the public voting for them it would be a protest vote.

I agree though that until we get proportional representation, these small groups are meaningless outside of coalition.

Every single one of them would get smashed if the general election was held last week. Maybe Chuka would hold on but the rest...

They know they would lose next election as they have views that their voters disagree with.

I'm surprised Micky Morgan hasn't jumped too. She's gone next vote.

They had nothing to lose.

Self serving as ever.

if only, moderate politics got a bad name with Teflon tony and clegs betrayals, i'd give quite a bit for a large mainstream pro Brexit party now. but the electorate is pretty polarised as well. the status quo does not have a happy ending methinks

that's assuming they get re elected. They may split the vote and cause an unwanted result

I agree she should be brought before a court. Then charged with whatever actual crimes have been committed.. passport fraud, associating with illegal organisations ,having children without due care and attention ,whatever is real.
she knows that we are soft and if she was prosecuted successfully she would get a very light sentence of which she would only serve half and then she would be allowed out and no doubt get a council house and be entitled to all sorts of benefits without having contributed anything. Knowing the stupid way we run this country she may even be able to bring het husband over because he is an eu citizen. I think I can see why she is willing to take her chances with the UK

whoever you prefer I don't think there are any that fill me with confidence
There's truth in that, but there are commentators who rate some of the younger Tory back bench highly. I don't know enough about them to comment, but a younger fresh face could be a good idea to escape the largely discredited present gang.

Do you really want either a lying cretin (BJ) who wants to privatise the NHS or a "Let's hear it for concentration camps so we can feed the people " Mogg?

You cannot be serious
We have had enough if Conservative stupidity to last a lifetime, look at the Damage their Brexit Idiocy is doing to us.

Would these commentators speak Russian by any chance?

No. I think Putin is too busy sparring with Trump at the moment to be bothered about us.

We're so good at damaging ourselves he doesn't need to do anything but look in once in a while for amusement.
