...and some good news..

Shamima Begum, who joined the Islamic State group in Syria aged 15, is to lose her UK citizenship
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-47299907

Absolutely appropriate that Begum who went to join Islamic State has had her British citizenship revoked. She is an enemy of the UK, she can stay with her terrorist friends rather than polluting the UK with more violent extremism.
Agreed, and exactly as I forecast would happen after hearing the Home Secretary taking the same line.

It's not over yet though, she can appeal.

Amazing what information is available on the net, revealing what is behind the leave campaign
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/eu-referendum-brexit-boris-johnson-vote-leave-leaders-have-advocated-charging-for-nhs-and-cutting-a6986631.html

This article is from 15th April 2016 and shows what the leave Campaign are really in favour of
EU Referendum: Leading Vote Leave figures have advocated charging for NHS and cutting funding

Boris Johnson has previously suggested that he did not believe in a free NHS

But the London Mayor is previously on record as suggested that he did not believe in a free NHS.
“If NHS services continue to be free in this way, they will continue to be abused like any free service,” he said in 2003.
“If people have to pay for them, they will value them more. Above all, there is an economic point. In a very modest way, this extension of private funds into the NHS would help the Chancellor’s straitened circumstances”.

So much for the lies on the red bus

That is an unjust appalling decision made without reference to the human rights of the child,as she was,and made for crude political opportunism.
Pres.Trump in one of his more coherent requests wants the european countries which provided 800 of the current detainees to accept them and then if necessary charge and jail them.
Tommie, you should be ashamed of that decision ..I am saddened on your behalf.

Yes it is me alright, do you normally gratuitously insult strangers?
No, I regard you as a friend, a cyber friend, but a friend just the same.

When I saw your picture, I thought Dr Groaner the WW2 German rocket scientist. It’s how my mind works, but it’s not to the taste of everyone. Sorry if I offended you, it wasn’t my intention to do so.

It’s absolutely the correct decision. If she returned to the U.K. she would pose a menace to society and someone would be living in close proximity to her one day.

I don’t think her name should be mentioned again now and let’s have no further news coverage. She needs to be forgotten about as quickly as possible.

But apparently, it’s got nothing to do with Brexit.
I'm sure we are all relieved to hear that.
And yet we still have more external new investment than any other country in Europe.

No I was referring to the child,as she was , not the new infant.
Tonight was the first BBC report I actually saw referring to this and I am even more scandalised by the UK Home Office. The excuse they use as a justication is that a totally uninvolved third country Bangladesh is expected to offer citizenship to a person who has never been there,on the grounds that her mother was born a Bangladeshi. In other words ,the act of kindness by some third party ,is required to give a legal figleaf to an act of vengeance.
Perfidious Albion is a term occasionally used, and for the UK to have made this decision of robbing a citizen of her birthright , particularly and especially without any form of due process, meets that standard. To bring it back to Brexit, It is a salutary lesson to us EU non UK citizens.

she is opportunistically vilified by the right wing tabloids and turned into a symbol of what's wrong with muslim britons, Sajid Javis has no other choice than keeping her in Syria for as long as possible. If he hadn't done so, the same tabloids would have called him a traitor.

Not sure if you`re on a wind-up or not....but..

As you`ve been tripping over yourself with benevolence and endearing yourself to this woman who has allied herself to these death-cult terrorists, maybe you would like to offer her that spare room you have there in Louth and introduce her to your 19yr old daughter or niece? How would you feel about that??
Hmmmmmm...takes the shine off it don`t it?
Oh she could bring over her jehadi husband too - wouldn`t that be a cosy get-together for all.
Come to think of it you could introduce them to your TD Gerry Adams and they could exchange notes on how to behead, torture, rape, assassinate, abduct etc etc....i`m sure they`d be well impressed with Gerrys efforts on terrorism.
And don`t forget a sunday afternoon drive up to Shelling Hill beach, they`ll be all ears with that story.

Its not a windup. She is not my or the Bangladeshi responsibility, she is the responsibility of the UK state.
Are you so taken up with your clever wordplay that you cannot see that UK citizenship is now a sham?
If a Minister of your Government can unilaterally remove citizenship at the stroke of a pen,for whatever reason he or she wishes, expel and remove citizenship, you are living in a dictatorship.

Let the UK take their deluded home, the Germans theirs ,the Belgians ,the French, etc etc and we may have a few Irish ones also. Then put them on trial, Determine whether they have committed serious crimes ,lock them up if necessary . We , both you and I have plenty of drug smuggling killers in our prisons, but we do not deny them citizenship. We even have people in our secure mental hospitals who may well have perpertrated worse than this young woman, but we do not deny them citizenship.
My stance on this topic has been consistent and logical. Yours and I regret to say ,others whome I might have expected to be "liberal" have not.
