what's unhealthy about a deep fried Mars Bar??
One experience was being served cornflakes with a huge jug of thick double cream on the table. I asked the waitress for milk and pointing to the cream, she replied they only had enough milk for teas etc., so I couldn't have any.

Another was after asking for kippers for breakfast, where else than Scotland, I was served with a huge plate heaped with six very large kipper fillets. I just got through two with a struggle.

Since those fatty diet experiences I've always understood why Scotland is the heart attack capital of the world.

we wouldn't need to replace everything. There are other countries where we could buy food if necessary, and it would be very different from the wartime situation. We have got plenty of room to grow our own. Maybe need to get rid of all the wind farms and solar farms and get fracking
Of course, with money you can buy anything. It is different from wartime. The EU is unlikely to torpedo a shipment of frozen kangaroo ,or lamb from the ends of the earth. You don't have as much space as you think, Those extra 20 million people want to live in separate accommodation, travel on roads, use trains

That is ridiculous, the word served needs to be replaced with robbed, you would get better terms and treatment with the official Mafia.
You really do talk nonsense at times. Almost troll-like. To suggest that the actual Mafia would run the country better than Moggs would.... really OG. Really.

The Omega 3 in the kippers would have counteracted the cream!.

We get most our greens from Kenya. I'm sure we could get then to grow a few more lettuces.

50Hertz my friend I'd give this one up if I were you. Flecc's on the money here - freedom of movement is one of those things the EU ain't never gonna give up. It's part of the whole package.
I know that as far as the current situation is concerned, FOM will never be up for negotiation. The EU conceding on that is not going to happen.

However, it is not possible say that will be the case for eternity, which is what I believe flecc to be saying. To claim that the current situation is set in stone for all time is preposterous. My point was, that what seems unthinkable today may happen at some point in the future.

It was at that point Jonathan “Gaper” Agnew made his usual juvenile appearance and derailed the topic.

it would be nice to give more trade to some of the poorer countries
it's not practical to transport lettuce from Kenya to the UK.

Barclays is moving £166bn worth of assets from London to its Irish division.

That's the effect of the ERG.

not thinking specifically of lettuce or even Kenya. Was recently in the Caribbean, St Vincent was the island I think. Quite a poor island, who used to sell us a lot of bananas according to the taxi driver, but that trade stopped when we entered the EU. Maybe that sort of trade could be resurrected and also with other commonwealth countries. I may be wrong on the island , it could have been Dominica. Memory is a bit hazy. Those rum punches??

Remind me of something , wasn't Brexit supposed to have quote "No downsides, just considerable upsides"?
And you are discussing having to grow our own food?
Which part of that is an "upside"?
