I’m not sure the arms industry workers would see it that way. It’s very easy to make the big gesture when it’s someone else, in this case ordinary working people, who are paying.
You do appreciate that that argument was exactly the same as presented by the Confederate States of America. That their economic model demanded a slave class. It is not much different from that presented by the major landowners in a South Africa and then Rhodesia. It was one of your own.. An Englishman ( whom i am supposed to hate), Wilberforce, who exposed that lie.

This is what Cummings things of the Brexit voters he manipulated
https://medium.com/@willblack_53220/forget-cumberbatch-see-what-brexit-manipulator-really-thinks-of-you-a9aa346bbc16
In a rambling 237-page rant, entitled ‘Some Thoughts on Education and Political Priorities’, Cummings suggests that much of the population is limited in our response to education by genes. Apparently an intensive, expensive and protracted education would not enable most to excel in the way Cummings believes he has.
He also states: “When people look at gaps between rich and poor children that already exist at a young age they almost universally assume that these differences are because of environmental reasons (‘privileges and wealth’) and ignore genetics.”

Cummings suggests that “finding genes responsible for cognitive abilities” coupled with using computers to personalise learning will bring “dramatic improvements to education”, but “this will not remove genetic influence over the variation in outcomes or close the gap between the rich and poor.”

And, in a statement so pompous that I’m still reeling more than five years after first reading it, Cummings adds: “One can both listen to basic science on genetics and regard as a priority the improvement of state schools; accepting we are evolved creatures does not mean ‘giving up on the less fortunate’.”

So, there you have it, less prosperous Brexit voters, the man who sold you Brexit says you are poor because you have inferior genes and brains, and better education won’t change that.

How comforting for the Brexit Voters who insist that people look down on them and call them names, to discover that the chief culprit that mislead then in the referendum and is supposedly on their side despises them too.
And regards them as genetically inferior.

Brexit: a form of lewd comedy

Labour brexit strategy from Barry Gardiner:

Labour could offer to hold a referendum on an EU deal that it had renegotiated as part of an early general election manifesto.

That'll put pressure on the hard brexiters.
Is this a joke?

You are such a dick. I mean - this is your view of Dominic Cummings? Did you even watch the talk. Darn you really are a complete twat.

Because - he's right. Genes play a WAY more extensive role than we ever realised. But your progressive liberal moral-high-ground pleasing left-wing 'masters' don't want you to know because it goes against their 'we're all equal' bullshit they spew out and encourage you to absorb as if its the truth.

Cummings knows this. He's a master at this. The man is SO way ahead - I'm guessing but I bet his IQ is up around the 160 mark. Genius.

Who was it that said - I think it might have been Einstein - great spirits always meet violent opposition from mediocre minds.
Genes are also far more complex and subtle than most realise. It isn't just the code but everything that affects gene expression. Including all those wonderful things like nutrients.

I'm 15 mins into it (paused it as it was quite nauseating in a Goebbels's kind of way the clinical gloating of the man) - and nothing about genes yet. From what he said so far they just assertained there was a proportion of undecided referendum wavering voters that they specifically targeted with trial & error 'advertising' to swing em round to their way of thinking - using social media, memes and goodness knows how else. (somebody in this thread linked to the Leave ad agency which still has all their £350 million for NHS, Take Back Control memes) Dodgily obtained data was given to Cambridge Analytica 'scientists' probably processed abroad to avoid legal repercusions - well Psychologists are scientists and the field of psychology esp beginning in the 1950s to research attitudes and how to change em for advertisers to apply. Think the rise of ad agencies...

It's DC who loses the battle.
D. Cummings spotted a few weaknesses in DC campaign, he exploited them.
He is not a genius, if anything, his big mouth and big ego are going to make him unemployable at the next referendum.

Utterly predictable - and predicted. Not, perhaps, the exact numbers, but the impact:

UK car sales suffer biggest fall since financial crisis – business live

All the day’s economic and financial news, as UK’s SMMT warns that Brexit uncertainty and the diesel emissions scandal has hurt demand for new cars

Not Brexit related. People don’t know what to drive because of unclear and confused messages from the government regarding taxation.

People haven’t been buying cars for years, they can’t afford them. They have just stupidly been getting further into debt in order to be able to DRIVE the latest model and outwardly appear affluent. Crazy.

That is true, but doesn't explain the reason for reduced sales, does it?
You have to ask why do they now feel less secure?

And like the rest of the leave campaign he was being used, guess by whom?

I think the confusing taxation messages from the government are the major factor in deterring people for driving a new car. There exists a kind of unspoken message that Diesel will be hit with penalties and to some extent engine size will be a factor. However, there is no clarity and that makes it difficult to decide what to have. That makes people insecure about taking on further debt in order to be able to drive the latest flashy model with Apple Car Play and en-suite toilet facilities, or whatever the current gimmick is.

Brexit may be a small factor for manufacturers shifting fewer models, but I think that I outline the major one above.

I think they had mathematical models that were either just lucky, or actually worked well enough in the short term to justify the hugely expensive last minute targetted ads with illegal funds.
After all if you already have a pretty complete profile of the target audience and know their likely susceptibilities to certain ideas, plus direct personal contact to them in their homes, it shouldn't be all that hard to press the equivalent of their "right buttons" and tip them over the edge to act in the way you want them to.
Cummings is an arrogant clown that was used by the likes of Bannon and co as pat of a wider agenda, so he makes a handy scapegoat for something even more sinister.

No doubt there is truth in that, I picked up a courtesy car this morning that has the various Apple play and android apps facilities.
I wonder just how safe modern cars are becoming when there are so many new distractions to the driver built into them?
