that's exactly what the rich people want. Low stamp duty so they can speculate and push prices up.
House prices ar incredibly diverse are to area, for instance here in Hull the average House price
"
Hull Property Investment – Average House Price £72,642.
National Average is now
Overall, average house prices slipped 0.2 per cent in July to £302,251, figures compiled by Your Move show.

The average price of a property In London now stands at £625,529 at the end of June with prices falling in almost two thirds (21 out of 33) of the city’s boroughs on an annual basis.

Overall, the most expensive borough remains Kensington and Chelsea, where prices are down 1.9 per cent on an annual basis to £1,765,033

(You could buy most of Hull as a job lot for that!)
I know, nobody wants to...................:(

Do you really have to e-Pedal one of these cars when the battery runs down?
Different one, it's the accelerator pedal in this case, one pedal control for all three functions.

Press down to go, ease off to slow down and regenerate charge current, lift off further for normal braking with further regen.

Called e-pedal since it's an e-car accelerator pedal feature. It's optional, can be switched on or just stay with the default normal two pedal control.

Pro-Pilot is their semi-automatic self-driving system, letting the car take over control of driving, with or without self-steering. Works well, but best, safest and most convenient in almost all circumstances if I keep control of the steering.

To give that a real world perspective, I could immediately sell my one bedroom flat on the outer edge of London (there's a waiting list to buy them) for enough to buy three of those average Hull houses and a very up-market new car.

It seems the Northern Powerhouse isn't working.

Unfortunately these meme nutters only aid Boris in the popularity stakes among the idiot fringe of society, who will regard them as "Martyrs"
I’ve never understood why the Hamiltons have retained a public profile. I know they came to prominence as a result of scandal, but that was many years ago now. They don’t have any particular talent and aren’t funny or entertaining, so why do they still remain in the public eye?

I think it's because they at that time appeared on TV very regularly. so have become "celebrities" in the media's distorted view.

Is this hypocrisy or what? Remember all the stories along the lines of, 'My father was a trawlerman, my grandfather was a trawlerman and it's the EU's fault that I'm not a trawlerman......ad nauseam'?

On that basis, a bunch of ill-informed people voted heavily to leave the EU but today......well, things are a little bit different now that the prospects for the future don't look as rosy as the 'Brexit' proponents' lies suggested.

This is worth a read:

Social media should take massive blame for our current mess.
We, ve been lied to, conned, insulted through it and developed traits that are spreading into the real world.
We come on here and openly insult, put down and release self esteem and righteousness in a way we d never dream of face to face. It's simply not healthy, but we are hooked. It's addictive and we are addicted.
I, ve closed my Facebook, WhatsApp and twatter. I won't be posting again. (If I can break this affliction) I suggest we all make a stand, do same and find someone to talk to.
Cheers.

Fully agree Zlatan, I've never joined any of those Social Media sites.

I suppose the Brexit thread is a form of mini social media now though, considering the vast range of subjects it has covered.

All I can do is laugh this is what happens to people who allow themselves to be misled by con men, and yet any of them still cling to their delusions!

You're not addicted my friend.... oh dear no, you can give it up anytime you like.
Your record of giving things up is nearly as good as Nigel Farage's after all.
Are you trying to Brexit on us?
Do stay, it's an awful thing to say, but you do belong here after all

Speaking for yourself, I'm another who has never had a personal facecr@p account, who doesn't have a mobile phone so Watsapp is of no use and as for the stupid bird thing...

The problem isn't social media, it is people and their incapacity to separate fact from fiction. Maybe they weren't listening at school where we learnt how to do those things? There is also the stupid idea that people with dangerous agendas have the right to push them in the name of "free speech". We can only hope that the criminal activity that lead to Trump and Brexit is one day punished in a court of law. Not holding my breath until then.

I also have the courage to say "you are wrong" to someones face.

I have always rated tillson top man on the style front, , while his profound comments may lack a little in empathy, probably as a result of his being an aviator, you have to admire the way he puts in a victory roll before and after he strafes his chosen target
I believe the appropriate term is "Top Gun"

the problem may not be social media, but social media helps ordinary people connecting and have a voice. Before that, how many voters would bother to write letters to the BBC, put stamps on them and take them to the post? Only people who can spell and have free time.
The result is startling with DT elected to the White House. Ed Balls made a fantastic program, Travels in Trumpland with Ed Balls, well worth a watch.

You may not like their perspective, but they know what they want from their president.
