If it is unachievable, it isn't a brexit. It isn't anything except pie in the sky.
It's very difficult but it can happen.
The EU has a trade surplus with the UK at the moment, a single market on goods would be a clear win for the EU.

There have. There have also been counter-claims that such a ban removes the women's right to advertise cars...
It's not about rights to advertise though, it's about method, blatantly using sexuality instead of drawing attention to the product advantages. Men sell cars, but have you ever seen an image of a well endowed man in Speedos or Kalvin Klein underpants draped over the bonnet of a car at a motor show?

I think the burqa is a medi-evil device that has no place on modern society. For alll sorts of reasons, it should not be allowed to be worn in public.
I always come back to the elephant man - Joseph Merrick. It could be challenging making a suitable exclusion clause to allow someone so afflicted to do as they wish whilst implementing any sort of widespread head-covering ban.
My strong objection to the burka, hijab or veil is simply that human communication isn't solely by voice, expression is very important as a mean of conveying meaning and intent. It's that which makes the voice only telephone a less than satisfactory communicator and a major reason why so much effort is expended on travelling to meet.

If, as recently, I hold a door open for a heavily black draped figure with only a slit over the centre of the eyes, or not even that, I'd like to know from their expression how my action is received. For them not to show that is thoroughly bad mannered and anti-social.

I see no problem in legislating for the facially disfigured. This need to cover is now quite rare anyway, such has been the advances in maxillofacial techniques and surgery, and a clause to exclude for facial disfigurement cover is easily included in any law. As with any law enforcement police officers have discretion.

“I think it was a wasted vote, 110%. If I knew that it was going to be like this, I probably wouldn’t have turned up to vote,”

that reaction from a brexit voter in Swansea is likely if we have a second referendum.

remain would win by default.
As I've been saying for a while now, I'm sure this shift is right across the country, not just in Wales. I'm certain a second referendum would bring a Remain win by a much more clear margin than the Brexit one.

The reason is simple. This time the voters know a lot more truth about what Brexit entails and they don't like what they've learnt.

Yes, I was including that in the second part, the truth about what Brexit entails, including loss of the many EU advantages.

Although I kept the words short, I meant, there are women who believe it is entirely right and proper for them to profit by using their sexuality to drape over motor vehicles. That there is nothing wrong in using sex to sell cars.

Some companies have been extremely balanced...

It seems Boris has reached his target audience
"
As different wings of the party split into rival camps, amid rumours that Johnson is preparing a leadership bid in the autumn, new evidence emerged suggesting that a series of hate crime attacks on Muslim women had been perpetrated as a direct result of Johnson’s remarks in his Daily Telegraph column last Monday.

An abnormal spike in anti-Muslim abuse aimed at women wearing the hijab and niqab has been recorded by the government-backed hate crime monitoring group Tell Mama."

Words spoken for political personal gain, seemingly relatively mild in tone purporting to defend "Free speech" but under the present circumstances they motivate racist maniacs to violence.

Politicians are supposed to provide a Role model, when they fail, they should face expulsion for life from ever standing for Parliament again, as they represent a real and present danger to the rule of law.

Such expressionism in your writing 'tillson'! If you paint as well as you express yourself in print, you must be up there with Lucian Freud and Edvard Munch and should you be musical, I'd think you must rival Stravinsky and Schoenberg.

Oh, I happen to agree entirely with your views on Johnson and I would say that even if I were a tory!

Tom
Cheers!

I have always rated tillson top man on the style front, , while his profound comments may lack a little in empathy, probably as a result of his being an aviator, you have to admire the way he puts in a victory roll before and after he strafes his chosen target
I believe the appropriate term is "Top Gun"

This particular one should do what he said and lie down in front of the bulldozers at Heathrow. Whilst I do not condone violence, the failure of one to stop would be a fitting end.

Oh!.....In terms of movies, I see 'tillson' more suited to the monarchial role played by Nigel Hawthorne in 'The Madness Of King George'. None of that Hollywood stuff here!

There's always a bit of good news...

Charities drop Christine Hamilton after post likening burqa to KKK costume
Tweet by wife of former Tory MP Neil Hamilton comes during escalating row over Boris Johnson’s burqa remarks

Christine Hamilton has been sacked as a charity ambassador after comparing the burqa to the outfits worn by the Ku Klux Klan. “If the burqa [sic] is acceptable then presumably this is too?” she tweeted, posting a picture showing individuals wearing Ku Klux Klan-style clothing.

Following the criticism she received, Hamilton insisted her tweet had been misunderstood: “For heaven’s sake – no, I am not comparing Muslim women to KKK members and yes, thank you, I do know the difference. I was graphically illustrating how full facial cover can be sinister, which is how many people view the burqa.”

However, members of the public had already contacted many of the charities she represented, prompting them to cut ties with her.

Unfortunately these meme nutters only aid Boris in the popularity stakes among the idiot fringe of society, who will regard them as "Martyrs"

Fake news of the Day award as usual to the Express
"
Germany blames Trump tariffs for DESTROYING economy - minister in furious rant
GERMANY has launched a scathing attack on Donald Trump, blaming his stiff import tariffs for destroying the EU’s largest economy, adding Europe would not bow to US pressure regarding Iran.

What was actually said?
"
Speaking to German newspaper Bild am Sonntag, Economy Minister Peter Altmaier took aim at the US President, claiming consumers were taking the brunt of his import tariffs because they are driving up prices.

He said: “This trade war is slowing down and destroying economic growth - and it creates new uncertainties.”

Damaging Growth is Hardly "Destroying the economy," is it?

Cut 'absurdly high' stamp duty to end Britain's housing 'disgrace', Boris Johnson urges PM
that's exactly what the rich people want. Low stamp duty so they can speculate and push prices up.

Don't you just love the catchy way Marketing slogans label things? but this one has to make you wonder.....

"The New LEAF is the first model in Europe to be fully equipped with Nissan’s e-Pedal and ProPILOT technologies for the most confident and comfortable driving experience. Get ready for a whole new way to drive, where the everyday is exhilarating. Feel more inspired, capable, and confident – wherever you go.

Do you really have to e-Pedal one of these cars when the battery runs down?
And will they have to pay royalties to use this mans patent?

The mind doth truly Boggle!

For some strange reason the C5 embodies the thinking behind Brexit rather neatly for me...

It too represented a complicated answer where the question had been completely misunderstood, and the wrong conclusion executed.
