Brexit, for once some facts.

Need any reasons not to vote tory on June 8th?

First, it's important to understand how the establishment, the monarchy, 'elite' or aristocracy, got to be where they are today.

Tony Benn, formerly The Rt Honourable Anthony Wedgwood Benn as Viscount Stansgate, explained it like this:

Once that truth is understood, it doesn't require a degree in rocket science to understand that the political party representing all those born with a silver spoon in their mouth has been waging a class war on the ordinary folk in order to protect their wealth, property and titles from being taxed or diminished so that they remain elite.

Their sworn enemy is the Labour Party as any kind of politics which involves a redistribution of wealth is anathema to them. Socialism was born out of the treatment meted out by the rich and powerful against the lower classes, socialism being based on fair and equitable principles, wholly unpalatable to tories.

The following infographics illustrate the kind of politics and political hypocrisy that has always exemplified the tory party all through my lifetime:

To vote tory and for Theresa May is to register your support for the person who was the worst Home Secretary in living memory. She completely failed to get a grip on immigration, ran down police and Border Agency numbers and suppressed investigations into paedophile activities involving tory politicians, BBC employees, aristocrats and members of the royal family plus other senior figures in the Civil Service and military services, not to mention some well-known figures from the world of popular music and entertainment.

May doesn't want her record as H.S. to be subject to any kind of forensic examination and, of course, the British media will bend over backwards to ensure those matters never surface for public scrutiny.

Safe and stable is the current tag line and that's what they want to stick in your mind through learning by rote.

... Can I disagree with your last comment and suggest that most wars are fought for power control and money, and the masses are duped into supporting them by appealling to a religious motive.
Yep, that's a fair assessment...

The EU and the UK government should negotiate a deal on the situation and rights of citizens as a matter of urgency and before starting the other Brexit talks, MEPs say.

In a joint hearing organised by the committees of Civil Liberties, Employment and Petitions, most MEPs underlined the “moral duty” to end the uncertainty created for both EU citizens living in the UK and UK nationals in the EU since the June referendum.

The EU should let go of the principle that “nothing is agreed until everything is agreed” in negotiations, because a quick solution for citizens’ rights is a matter of priority. “Let´s do this first”, they concurred.

Parliament´s Brexit coordinator, Guy Verhofstadt, said the House might adopt a resolution on this issue, probably after the summer recess.

I thought i'd look at the AAV Blog and he had this

Hmm!
No surprise there!

It cannot be right that the citizens of this country must be obliged to pay a licence fee to fund such a partisan organisation, even if they never watch or listen to BBC content.

In the absence of any positive action by the government to end this situation, the best suggestion I can think of is an act of mass disobedience whereby after a certain date, no-one pays a licence fee. The courts would be filled by a new breed of criminal within a very short time.

This government has claimed they are the party of freedom of choice.....except where it comes to the mainstay of their media wing!

The forthcoming general election which may or may not be seen as an opportunity to rubber-stamp Theresa May's stance on 'Brexit' has once again seen the might of the billionaire-owned British media combine to attack Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party generally.

It really doesn't matter which policies the Labour movement adopt as the mainstream media attack them as a matter of course. No other major democracy has such an unbalanced media as the UK but that has been brought about deliberately as an extension of an elitist-driven, clever social engineering programme and a sham voting system which does not properly reflect grass roots voting intentions.

What we have ended up with in this 21st century is a de facto government better described as mix of oligarchy and plutocracy operating under the guise of a democracy.

This is an example of how the media portrays an eminently sensible Labour Party policy:

Think one of few things we can agree on ( all of us?) is the terrible decline in the impartiality of mass media.
The whole lot is biased one way or another.
The Daily Mails's coverage of Corbyn today is shocking...
Don't forget tho not that long ago this same paper was extolling all the garbage from Osborne...as fact..
Its biased towards tories who want out of EU...last year it was biased towards Tories keeping us in.
It does not care wether we are in or out, it just supports Tories...
Even for Daily Mail EU is a side issue...as it should be for us. The real concern should be outing Tories and getting Labour in..

But in 20 years time after that long with Brexit, their version is likely to be:

"We need the EU for us to have a strong and stable place in the world." ;)
