I cant offer an explanation for the 17kk people who voted leave. The only one I can offer ( which I did, which I should not have to) is my own.
Your argument is now " majority" of leavers are racist ? You accept( I think) Tha neither myself or PH are racist but you insist on sticking to the divisive, insulting, subjective, inflamitory comment that leavers are racist, with absolutely bi hard evidence at all. And to no avail, just to express a prejudiced hateful comment with no possible beneficial outcome. You are being absurd.
Flecc
I expected rather more of an enlightened comment from you. I,m out of here again.
Leave you, steb and tom to insult who you want. (Its pointless flecc)

Just think on what you are saying here . 17 million racists living on an an island of mongrel inhabitants.??? Think about it. Its not actually possible, without civil war, massive social unrest. Its an utterly stupid conjecture, and likely to cause much bad feeling.
You all need to get out more and stop reading the garbage.
The UK is not a racist nation. Never really has been.
Yes, we have racists, but thankfully a minority.
One of my friends voted Leave only because they were fed up with the black guys hanging around the local bookmakers. I did point out to them that those guys are from Libya/Yemen/Somalia etc, these countries are not in the EU,we already have the right to control them, what they were actually voting for was to try and control white guys from Poland etc ....'Oh I didnt realise that, our plumber is from Poland, hes a really nice guy, dont want to stop him, still he'll be alright he's white'.
These are old middle class Tory voters, quite bright people...I wonder how many Brexiters thought they were stopping all immigration.
It just shows how uninformed Brexit voters really were!!!!

I sometimes link with a local NHS team - have done for some years. it is ironic. ten years ago the staff were permanent, predominantly white, perhaps 30% immigrants (Poles, French, even Italian). Now post brexit around 60% are agency staff - non white (Nigerian, south African, Zimbabwean, Indian, Pakistani). they're all very skilled, responsible clinicians. as an aside their ethnicity doesn't matter - what really does is that their agency staff - its bad for them and the tax payer, but that's another matter. However, there's an irony - the UK needs immigrants, badly. we're an aging population lacking skilled young tax payers. They will come from somewhere. the lies about immigrants brexitters believed were just that - lies. their not a basis for any future - immigrants will have to come, in significant numbers.

Have you read some of the remainers posts on here ???
The subject of Brexit seems to bring out the worst in people....recently on Adam Boultons 'All out politics' there were 2 middle aged ladies, after 5 mins of Brexit negotiations they were starting a cat fight,he had to almost pull them apart.
Brexiters are easily wound up...you only have to say 'Brexit wont happen' and they go into one....Remainers are sort of resigned to Brexit going ahead and not happy about it but accept,if we do a U-turn and scrap Brexit I can see Brexiters rioting like the Poll Tax .
The frustrating thing is that many Brexiters dont know what Brexit will achieve, they voted for all sorts of reasons not related to Brexit and most, actually probably all, will not be realised....What has May done or even indicated she is going to do to satisfy these people.
I am a Remainer, not for selfish reasons, in fact the strength of the Euro v £ is making my export business boom but I think everyone will suffer if Brexit goes ahead, the poor will suffer the most.

the reason we need so many immigrants is because our economy grows too quickly.
It has slowed down a bit since last winter.

Steady there notions like "idiots should be seen but not heard" would decimate Democracy as it has been practised here for hundreds of years, and at a stroke render the Aristocracy into automated Muppets.
Far too revolutionary a concept

i disagree, the NHS is the largest employer of immigrants in UK (by very, very far). it's not fuelled by economic growth, it's the care needs of an ageing first world population that certainly know how to offload on the front page of the daily mail if someone didn't come to clean the diapers (as og more or less says). an incongruous mix of right wing political bias and left wing demands for care.

Thats rubbish, the immigrants do the jobs that Brits dont want to do anymore...the NHS,Farms,Social Care....as our population gets older we will need more young people to look after the olds.
My father in law was recently in our local hospital,on his ward there was no Brits...mainly Indian,Spanish,Portuguese,Philippines....not that many EU workers, wonder why???

The European Union
Fact check time again kiddies - Brexit was all about xenophobia not about racism.

It is true that many voting for brexit are both racist and xenophobic. There may well even be a sub-group of brexit voters who don't know what the last word means because it has too many syllables so they just use the first one... These people need to learn that there is just one European race and until quite recently people from the UK were part of it. Brexit seems to be all about creating a new race. The Germans tried that a short while ago, didn't end nicely...

racism
ˈreɪsɪz(ə)m/
noun
  1. prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.
xenophobia
zɛnəˈfəʊbɪə/
noun
  1. dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries.

I beg to differ there Brexit is all about recreating a mythical "old" race not a new one.
Unfortunately the old race had been subject to the attentions of the Taxidermists who are still forming it's Government and House of Lords.

Brexit is the Future refusing to be Born., when it comes out it will be pointing in the wrong direction

I disagree.
House price inflation is a pretty good indicator. When house price goes up quickly, it is usually an indicator of unhealthy growth.
We have now a much more bearable house price inflation.
The EU is foremost founded on capitalism. Don't believe in its socialist agenda. It may work in Germany but not in the rest of the EU.
