I think you mean it's the line of fire they have to keep out of.

that too,I was actually referring to their habit of shooting themselves in the feet!
None of them seem able to make consistent statements that don't clash with everyone else's!

Madness begins here
"
Severing ties with the EU starts in DAYS as transferring of laws to begin NEXT WEEK
BREXIT secretary David Davis has said that legislation regarding the transfer of European Union (EU) laws into British ones should start next week."

This is the madness bit

Mrs May has described the bill as an “essential step” in the process of the UK leaving the EU and it was the centrepiece of the Queen’s Speech.

The bill is expected to be a huge undertaking for the Government with a House of Commons library report previously stating that “major swathes of the statute book” would be needed to examine the legislation.

A controversial aspect of the bill is the so-called Henry VIII powers after the Statute of Proclamations 1539 which gave him the power to legislate by proclamation.
Effectively meaning that the Government can introduce legislation without the scrutiny of Parliament.

If you voted for brexit did you really want control to pass directly to the likes of Mrs May and the rest of these right wing loonies, without having to go through Parliament?

Does this fit with your idea of taking back control?

This isnt democracy, the whole country are being taken down a path by 80 old Tory right wingers and 2 Labour communists, all determined to gain power. Its about time the whole of parliament had a free vote on Brexit and all its baggage, before these dictators destroy our country.

Dennis Skinner is a good man, a good representative of his constituents and a man who understands and frequently condemns the corrupt nature of right-wing politics:

Here, he draws attention to the 'deal' struck by the tory party and the Loyal Orange Lodge political wing in N Ireland.......

Still on the subject of lying, U-turning, cheating politicians, this Trump quote is stunning in its message:

I'm reminded somewhat of Donald Rumsfeld's parable which confused the hell out of the media and the American public:

"Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know. And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tend to be the difficult ones."

I wonder if anyone in government aside from the Tory 'bastards' still thinks Brexit a good idea? I am convinced that May did and still does think Brexit as a very bad idea but she is stuck with it now,any attempt on her part to U-turn (she is good at those) would have the 'bastards' fall upon her and end her as PM,she has gone through a lot of pain to keep that job.
One wonders how long it will be before a Tory rebel has a 'kings new clothes moment' and point out that May is naked!!!!!

This man was born an aristocrat but chose to eschew an easy life as one of the elite. Those old enough will remember how he came to be not just an MP, but a Labour MP, representing the lower orders rather than the privileged few.

He understood well, the importance of the great political decisions of the early and mid 20th century and was a huge fan of the NHS, the importance of which he discusses here along with a mention of what went before:

European Parliament votes against Sinn Fein’s special status

DUP MEP Diane Dodds has welcomed a decision by MEPs in Strasbourg to reject Sinn Fein’s call for a ‘special designated status’ which would keep Northern Ireland inside the EU as the rest of the United Kingdom leaves.
“Since last June Sinn Fein and others have made a special designated status their big ticket priority for Brexit. Their plan would see Northern Ireland remain under Brussels control while the rest of the UK leaves. This would prevent our Province from harnessing new opportunities which flow from Brexit as an integral part of the Union. Critically it would also cut us off from the GB market - by far the most importance marketplace for local goods and services from Northern Ireland.

It is clear that support for this scenario has gained little traction. The negotiating guidelines published by the European Parliament and Council earlier this year make no reference to a special designated status and both Governments in London and Dublin have failed to back the proposal. Ultimately this week’s vote by MEPs is further demonstration that Sinn Fein’s Brexit charm offensive has failed miserably.

Within the European Institutions there is widespread recognition of Northern Ireland’s unique position in respect of our land border with the Republic of Ireland. Across the spectrum there is a willingness to give particular attention to these special circumstances in the exit talks that have begun. However we are clear that any solution agreed must respect that Northern Ireland will be an integral part of an independent United Kingdom.

Moving forward the DUP will continue to work tirelessly, engaging closely with stakeholders across sectors affected, and using our influence both at Westminster and in Brussels, to ensure that our Province gets the best possible deal from Brexit.”

. Thank you for that Tommie. I would have believed that it was an non runner anyway. The only good news will be when the UK wakes up and realises that it has all been a monumental fiasco ( I could have used another word), and backs out asap.

You hope so.
You are correct, I should have said So Far!
And then again, this is a strong contender for honours
"Brexit: Vote Leave chief who created £350m NHS claim on bus admits leaving EU could be 'an error'
Dominic Cummings also described the referendum as a 'dumb idea' - shaping up to be a 'guaranteed debacle'
One of the masterminds behind the Brexit vote has performed an astonishing U-turn by admitting that leaving the EU may be “an error”.

What is your considered opinion on that cracker of an admission?

Point taken, thank you 'wheeler'. My excuse is that I imagined that fact went without saying?

Tom
You may well be right Tom, since 1994, innocent until proven guilty is more wishful concept than fact:

In theory an accused person does not have to prove innocence, the onus is supposed to be on the prosecution to prove guilt. The Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 means the scales of justice have been tipped against you. Unless you can prove your innocence you WILL be convicted. The Prosecution don’t even have to try.

When the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act was introduced in 1996, its aim was to – ‘effectively bring about acquittal of the innocent and conviction of the guilty, whilst ensuring efficiency in focusing on key issues at trial and fairness towards all those affected’. This is the law that demands a statement from the defendant before any extra disclosures are made which might undermine the prosecution case. In reality this is the law that allows the prosecution to withhold or misplace any sensitive evidence that may damage their case.

Prior to 2004, the Home Office stated in its own bulletin that it was aware of 3000 wrongfully convicted people being put in prison every year, while allowing the guilty to walk free (Naylor L.A 2004).

It's now believed by those well informed that an average of 60 persons a week are being wrongly imprisoned, some for historic offences that never occurred. Meanwhile the legal profession are doing nothing about this, despite their certain knowledge of what is happening.

Getting rid of the ECJ and the Human Rights Act are all part of the same trend to make us all potential victims of injustice whenever it suits the authorities.
