I can't be bothered to read the whole thread, so can someone give me a summary and answer these questions?

Has anybody changed anything yet?
Has anybody agreed on anything yet in this thread?
What's the conclusion after 687 pages?

Surely, you must be getting close.

There ought to be a spelling test before approval is granted for semi-literates to contribute to threads such as this. 'Manifesto(s)', btw!

If I thought your views were important, I could come up with insults appropriate to your level of stupidity and dangerousness. Fortunately, most readers probably find your ramblings on the economy and economics as silly as I do so I can't be bothered thinking of better insults for your juvenile material.

Tom
Ok I will take it as I'm banned then

You're fine D8ve; Dyslexia is excused but poor education and idiocy need to be excised from social media. It serves only to further dumb down society.

Tom
Aww fanks huggies.

I read it and for the life of me can't see the logic of leaving, it's simply madness.
You can see because you won't feel the benefit, cheaper staff who don't require moly coddling and silly safety regulations disposed of.
That's a benefit for someone.

No.

Yes, about oldtom but I can't repeat it here.

brexit is now brexit.
Actually Brexit is yet to come........and may be so odd even it's own Mother wouldn't recognise it.
Certainly the public that voted for it have no chance of doing so.
I will be as "Bent as a nine Bob note" as the old saying went.

The world has moved on and we have outgrown the EU.
It's as simple as that, OG.
Look to the Pacific Rim. Look at their achievement in the PISA table.

I worked in a factory where the regulations of safety meant that the men in the foundry died in their fifties on average.
Now there is something to look forward too, perhaps we could bring back Asbestos as well?
What joy!

And who is going to invest in all the high technology needed to emulate the pacific Rim countries?
Are you?
For goodness sake, no one invests here when there is a safe bet by investing there, that's why the Factory I worked for moved to China.
Please debate sensibly not using wishful thinking.

Actually Brexit is yet to come.
The Pound is the barometer of brexit. I reckon the cost of brexit has already been factored in. If we get a good deal, then the only way is up.

Once again Money is your focus, this is the least of our worries, but clearly you don't care at the damage that will be done in pursuit of profit, do you?
In the past this country has been enormously wealthy but that didn't stop the lower classes suffering for the benefit of the rich and that is exactly what will happen now.
This time the people will not sit back and accept that, they have already put the Government on notice with the Brexit vote, and expect great things that had better be delivered.

I don't think we can catch up with those countries in production technologies because of our education system. Their students cram for years before each exam. That's why I refer to the PISA table because good education lifts them from poverty faster than any other mean.
This country however does one thing quite well: manage other people's money.

The biggest problem Brexit faces, apart from the incompetence of the Government , is the woefully inadequate level of investment into industry and by that I mean high technology.
There is a reason for this: the Elite group that controls the funds needed cannot be compelled to support this country by investing in it when there is a "Quick Buck" to be made in the Far East at no risk.
Without that investment all we can do as a nation is tread water rather than drown, we certainly won't do any "Olympic Class" swimming against competitors.
That's why it's a bad idea to leave the EU

It may seem that way to you but you are totally wrong here.
There is plenty of good information you can get from economic data.

There is no future in managing other peoples money, that is the reason we have been in this slow and permanent decline for a generation.
