You don't understand Brits.. They love being isolated, last man standing, under dog.. You watch... They are like the school weirdo, bullies leave alone or learn to after been set on fire.
In a way Von Leyen is playing into Tory hands. Press will be in overdrive, EU are the bullies we are in the right fighting unjust corrupt organisations. Dunkirk all over again, and Agincourt, and Crecy. Public dont know or care we lost 100 year war. Henry 5th saved the day.
We are masters at turning defeat into victory or what is viewed as victory anyway.
it's more of a case that the right wing press finds a needle to prod brexiteers with.
One went as far as suggesting that 'we are all brexiteers now'.

That’s like writing your own rule when playing a solo game of Monopoly. Rules which allow you buy Mayfair when you land on Old Kent Road. In other words, it’s boll ocks.
No, the word treaty shows it's pre-agreed by all member countries so not the EU alone applying a rule for the moment.

UVDL is like the head girl or monitor in the class, she and the Board of Governors has no interest in the shivelling snotty faced whiner in high babies , smoking behind the bicycle shed ... Unless they are near the oil tank.

I’d say UVDL is more like the person who wants to be head girl, who thinks she’s head girl and who the classmates tell is head girl as a pi$$ take. But alas she isn’t. It’s always the canny ones in the class who who are quick to manoeuvre and are fleet of foot who get ahead. Head girl is left counting the pencils and making up rules for their distribution whilst everyone else has moved onto fountain pens.

Scale the above up to the vaccine rollout and it’s exactly what’s happened. She’s making up vaccine rules, meanwhile it’s flowing into arms in the U.K. over 700 000 vaccinations in a single day! Imagine head girl pulling that off. :D :D :D

The vaccine rule was set up on 29th. January, when it was discovered that the AZ cupboard in Brussels was bare. And it was always in the rulebook. Now the UK never needed to ban Vaccine exports, because the AZ contract, the only UK manufacturer of vaccines had written into their contract with the UK State, that only when they had satisfied their quota might they apply for export licences ..It is a ban which is not a ban but is a Ban .. Sir Humphrey would be proud. Meanwhile 8M of those UK arms in February were dosed with EU Pfizer, and probably another 6M in March ( that figure not yet available) and possibly 4M to 6M in January. ( That figure not easy to hand). The UK effort has been greatly assisted by the reluctance of the EU , Head Girl , to come the heavy

The U.K. effort has been greatly assisted by getting on with vaccination. You can’t vaccinate people whilst stopping vaccination for no reason. You can’t vaccinate people by constantly planting unfounded doubts in their minds.

Actually doing vaccination has been the UKs greatest asset in the vaccine rollout :D

It's double edged though. We, ve seen EU (or individual countries for Flecc and OG) for what they are.

Remoaners? whatever are they? you are aware we left the EU?

Rejoiners is the new name for that significant fraction of the population that managed to evolve a brain that actually thinks logically

We've done wonderfully well . and now there's only 150% left needing a jab!
Plus we aren't going to bother with the children, who needs them when they are easy to replace with unskilled labour?

Looked at logically we have protected part that part of the population that represents the present and the past

And decided not to bother with the odd few millions that represent the future
And we have some on here that want to shout what a triumph it has all been for little England!

Clueless barely suffices
When there was the Polio epidemic we kids were vaccinated, and we know from research not only can kids get infected but are a major vector in passing it on.

Yet another idiot MP. There's no such nationality as British since there is no nation called Britain, only a federation. I'm English and there are also Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish nationalities within the UK.

One of our foolish governments did institute a false British nationality for those foreigners who wished to have a nationality within the UK, so they have the nationality of a nation that doesn't exist.

For the UK..yes , for the world..maybe . In the short term it has stopped a disaster at Christmas turning into a catastrophe... But unless those second doses get done, the jury is out.
The Point you deliberately refuse to confront is that even in the UK, the AZ has only been a minor contributor. That the EU nations stopped its use for under a week is was an extremely minor effect. In the 6weeks previously it has only suceeded in vaccinating 6 million, because of supply shortages So stopping for a week ..or even less made at most 1/450 of a difference to the program.

..and of course the decisions to stop vaccinating was not done for no reason. The initial concern was a batch problem , then a systematic problem ,which was investigated . You and all Britons are safer as a result of the due diligence of the EMA.

We’ve profiled people for vaccination starting with the most vulnerable and working our way down to those who barely have any symptoms, children. The virus poses no real threat to children, most don’t even know they’ve got it. Why would you start by protecting them from something which is poses no threat?

That strategy is pretty much the strategy being deployed across the globe.

You are stopping the fire engine from getting to the burning house because a dust cap has come loose again.

We will continue to put our fire out. Good luck getting your vaccination, our 70 year olds were being vaccinated 10 weeks ago and the pace of the vaccination rollout is accelerating.

2 of my grand kids had it, put one off his food(no mean feat) for 3 hours.. Other symptomless... Sounds like a perfect age group to start with a faulty vaccine to me. Would be 100%(almost) effective at keeping kids out of hospital. Mind you so would calpol. Excuse Danidl, he, s using a strange batch of weed this week. Got it off a small French bloke. Mind you, he didn't get any vaccine off him did he.
