A strange thing happened this afternoon. I went out running for the first time since my Covid jab on Friday. I felt absolutely wiped out after only three miles. Then I started to develop mild chest pain and then quite a bad nose bleed.

I don’t suffer from high blood pressure, I have an annual health check which has never turned anything up and I take absolutely no medication. I’m pretty fit, my age graded running score with England Athletics is over 80%.

Nothing like this has ever happened before. It may have absolutely nothing to do with the vaccination, but it does seem coincidental. I feel fine now, just slightly tired.

No deaths with clots.. So Sarah Jarvis insisted.
I don't think it is an abundance of caution at all. Every "expert" from all medical side are saying same. Not related. Which ministers have decided to go against WHO, EMA, Mhra and their own medical teams and why. (Irish doctor was backing up opinion expressed by Jarvis??)
I suspect this is a case of getting popularity by appearing to be cautious..??
And, yet again, these actions undermine confidence in the vaccine. When they decide to change back they will then be wondering why take up is so poor.
And, insisting there have been deaths is misleading. The question is has death rate been slightest higher in vaccinated groups against none vaccinated. Of course people are dying. They are doing that all the time.
Somebody on here other day was saying a care home had had 5 deaths post vaccination and suggesting a possible link. Well unfortunately people in care homes do die, all the time. The question really should be are any deaths linked to direct negative affects of vaccine, or is it simply a case of seriously health disadvantaged are dying any way and perhaps can't cope with any interventions...
As, I, ve said all along, just leave it to MHRA, PHE, EMA etc etc. We look at figures and jump to wrong conclusions, all the time.
Little knowledge and all that, and the damned Internet. Every body is an expert at everything these days, well they think they are.
I’d hate to have Sarah Jarvis as my GP. It must be impossible to get an appointment, she’s never off the telly. Imagine living in a place where Sarah Jarvis is your doctor and the Reverend Richard Coles is your Vicar.

I felt terrible yesterday after sailing. Was that tired couldn't chew because my jaw muscles were aching that much. Think it's more likely my AF and not eating properly than vaccine tho..but who knows.

Exhaustion and tiredness for a few days have been reported by some as side effects of their first vaccination and it's early days for you. Better to judge afresh next Monday when the system has had time to absorb the vaccine effects fully and your body has adjusted to an antibody production that is as yet alien and unknown to it.

If ever there was a face fit for the Devil to fart in ......:D:D:D
She winds me up. Miss goody 2 shoes and so false.. Her and Jason Mohhamad on Saturday morning, tick boxing BBC's diversity goals..can't have employed either on merit.
And, while I, m having a moan.. Have you noticed the ethnic choices for adverts these days. Every advert has to have its quota of mixed race, gay, black, Asian, fat, thin, old and god knows what else in it.. Bet all white male advert actors have given up. Unless they work for lying bast4rds Halifax.

Thanks for that. Something is quite right. It’s like my body can’t tolerate the stress of exercise at the moment.

What you say makes sense.

And in mean time confidence is destroyed in vaccine, many folk are disappointed ( I believe as you were) and a slow roll out is slowed further with no gains whatsoever and the entire medical world still all saying same thing"no link".
Don't get me wrong Danidl, had there been a link, without doubt the vaccine should have been suspended pending investigation. But this could happen every week, especially so as more are vaccinated, people will continue being ill, continue dying vaccinated or not. Yes, of course medical profession make mistakes but on this aspect not a single medical authority/organisation has said there is a link. Quite the reverse, in every instance, every one of them has said "no link". Yet, some ministers of certain countries chose to suspend the roll out. What next? Folk having migraines? Folk having falls?
We should listen to what the entire authorisation community has been saying. For once they are all agreed. If EMA had disagreed with Mhra I could understand the confusion but all of them have said from the out set "there is no link". So what evidence have Austria, Ireland etc governments used to arrive at suspension???
It's a massive decision with repercussions down the line. Don't think it will affect things here in UKbut confidence is already very low elsewhere. I think suspension has been very premature. But WTF do I know. Like I, ve said before I just listen to those I think know way more than us. Mhra and JVCI.
The EMA as late as 11th. March was supportive of the AZ, however they are now reviewing that position (15 March). The decision in Ireland was by the CMO (assistant), the CMO is on compassionate leave,on medical advice, no ministers input. That was on foot of advice received by the Vaccination committee yesterday. And yes it is a gut wrench. As I said, the only users of the AZ in RoI are relatively young healthy health care workers

Indeed, and made worse by tight fisted companies re-using American TV ads dubbed with English voices. The Gaviscon ads are the most blatant for this, even showing a cartoon American fireman alongside the two very obviously American men in the ad but with English voice over.

It seems from a conversation with our Home help that the older you are, the less you suffer from side effects.
Most of her compatriots have found this to be the case.
The irony when you get past a certain age is there are days when you're not entirely sure you didn't die the day before, so perhaps the side effects were simply lost against the background aches and pains.
Hope you soon feel better you youthful stripling:D
As to a reduction in running performance...I dimly remember running at school and hearing this statement in reply to the question posed to Alfred Hitchcock the Movie Director

"Do you run Mr Hitchcock?"
He gave the questioner that baleful bloodhound look he was famous for and responded

"If I was meant to run I would have been born with wheels!"

This was a moment of revelation, so I went out and bought my first motor bike :D

And I'm still on two wheels, the latest being a Honda SH300i Scooter
