More profitable? One shot versus Two shot
So the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccine is a one-shot product. Whereas, as we know all too well, Pfizer/BioNTech and AstraZeneca are two-shot products.
At what point does the decision get made? "I say, old chap, shall we make a one-shot vaccine?" "Well, me old mucker, maybe we should choose a two-shot job?"
That is, is it by original design or as after analysis of testing and trialling? Is it inherent in the choice of approach?
From a distribution point of view, why would anyone consider two-shot products if they are avoidable?
I did wonder - but why have J&J gone down the one-shot route? Doesn't that mean less profitable?More profitable?
And it saves finishing the job properly when some idiot politicians are badgering you to reduce that casualties they have caused by incompetence over late decisions
And of course it sells a lot of special fridges too
Rumours circulating in the NHS in Wales but not publicly confirmed is that due to a much higher up take of the vaccine than originally expected (over 90% in some age groups) and the speed at which the vaccine has been rolled out, they are having to keep a lot more in storage so that people can have their second jabs.My explanation? they got the ordering sequence wrong causing delays because they underestimated the efficiency of the people who are rolling out the vaccine , and your explanation?
I don't think it was warmer in Paisley, though! It must be a lot warmer down South

Police warn 'dogging' event planned for this weekend is 'not essential travel'
Essex Police have issued a statement saying a social gathering is not 'essential travel' and would be against Covid lockdown rules - officers will be patrolling Canve
Gotta laugh
They are playing catch up so need the attractions of lower cost and simplicity?I did wonder - but why have J&J gone down the one-shot route? Doesn't that mean less profitable?

Kind of amazing where the Scottish Sun does shine...
"Coronavirus cases have plummeted across England since lockdown was imposed, from 557.9 cases per 100,000 on December 31 to 148.8 in the seven days to February 11.
However, there are several areas around Chesterfield where rates have increased – and this is causing concern for the county’s public health teams and politicians.
Chesterfield MP Toby Perkins said it was ‘disappointing’ rates were higher than before lockdown in some areas – and claimed this was probably due to the Government’s relaxation of restrictions over Christmas."
See what you've done POLLY, you naughty boy !

So why the hell are the second jabs not being given at the proper interval??Rumours circulating in the NHS in Wales but not publicly confirmed is that due to a much higher up take of the vaccine than originally expected (over 90% in some age groups) and the speed at which the vaccine has been rolled out, they are having to keep a lot more in storage so that people can have their second jabs.

If you'd known what would come of it, would you have started this thread? Many are rightly asking for facts instead of the inane propaganda that both sides are issuing in the EU dabate.
