Would he actually recognise it, and know whether or not he was telling it?
the truth for BJ is a flexible concept and time dependent.

Indeed, we were doing that already with our EU membership. That bought us far more than this deal and if we'd been more whole hearted about the European project, could have been even more rewarding.
.
you get usually club discount for bulk purchases don't you?
On one of the projects, I can't remember which one, the participation fees double after 5 years. The only snag though, as the EU operates on 7 year accounting cycle, any participation will lock you in for 7 years. I think we get so used to have PAYG, it's difficult to see if BJ wants to pay for passporting.

Here is something to think about
From the new European
"
Officials have been accused of copying and pasting chunks of text into the Brexit deal agreement.
Experts have spotted buried within page 921 of the UK-EU trade document references to dated computer software in the agreement which are decades old.

Referencing encryption technology, it mentions Netscape Communicator as a "modern e-mail software package" - last updated in 2002.
it also recommends the use of SHA-1 as a "hash algorithm" despite the fact it was depreciated in 2011.

The references have led experts to believe key texts have been copied and pasted from old documentation due to the lack of time to secure a deal."

I'm looking to see if anything from the "Magna Carta" has been sneaked in too!
All the more reason to park the deal, do due diligence, and pass a holding extension for 3 months as the EU would have facilitated...

This mornings news summed up why we are in a mess with Covid.
Chap in Wuhan just sentenced to 4 years in gaol for criticising handling of pandemic.
Meanwhile in Verbier over 200 brits have done a bunk from accommodation to avoid quarantine.
Can you imagine the mentality of folk...
"Let's go skiing in middle of a pandemic"
"They, ve told us to stay indoors because we could be infected"
"Let's do a moonlight and feck off home"

Boris' fault. Perhaps they were confused.
Disgraceful.

A Brexit Bonus!
The Times@thetimes

British citizens arrested overseas through no fault of their own have no right to the government’s assistance or protection, even if they are tortured or held as diplomatic leverage against their country, the Foreign Office has said

Brexitshambles@brexit_sham

Good job that under the EU Consular Protection Directive, where no representation exists, EU citizens can benefit from consular protection from other member states in cases of serious illness, victims of crime or arrest while abroad...oh hang on!
I think the FO is actually correct... If one reads the request as listed on a passport, it gives a citizen no right in another country and merely asks the other country to give them passage.

You seem to have been afflicted with some "Love Boris" bug, why has this tragedy befallen you? he is still personally responsible for the deaths of thousands of our people through being criminally negligent, and has just endangered even more, can't wait to see if he finds it "Inhuman" to ban New Year Celebrations.
After all it would endanger his mates pub profits

Except for EU citizens inside the EU which is the whole point!

This morning that the EU is “responsible for injustice and inequality in the UK”

The trade deal simply isn't going to survive if this despicable idiot doesn't learn to be more diplomatic

Well that's no help as I'm reading the Fishing Daily and none of them are!
My apologies when I click on the link it goes to this.....

The Agreement can be terminated at any point with nine months notice. If the Agreement is terminated, any obligations of the Parties will continue until the end of the year.

The government have not handled the Coronavirus pandemic well. They have made many mistakes which will have cost lives. They are not alone in their errors though, other countries have made poor decisions too, but that doesn't make it right.

You can't heap all the blame onto the government though. In general, the British Public are probably the biggest bunch of weak minded idiots on the planet. They are incapable of following basic simple guidance, they lack the resolve to make a few temporary minor adjustments to their lifestyles, or to wear a piece of tissue over their mouths. They are utterly pathetic, a disgrace to themselves and the country. They have cost tens of thousands of lives because they are so weak and feeble and should be shot in large numbers.

I am also tired of hearing grand parents on the TV and radio sobbing because they can't hug their grand children. They can......... if they want to die. Why can't the morons understand the guidance is for their own good? I'm baffled how these imbeciles managed to attract a mate and were able to breed. Astonishing.

Yes I did notice that and this one too

  1. Under the framework provided for in this Agreement, the UK will conduct annual fisheries negotiations with the EU alongside negotiations with other coastal States and international organisations regarding Total Allowable Catches for shared stock. These negotiations will also cover access arrangements too. 25
This looks to be a permanent arrangement!

Apart from shooting large numbers of the public which might prove controversial, I agree
especially this paragraph
"the British Public are probably the biggest bunch of weak minded idiots on the planet."
If they weren't of course there would never have been any chance of voting to leave the EU, something they knew absolutely nothing about other than 40 plus years of lies denigrating it's existence to cover the shortcomings of successive UK governments.
That paragraph was in fact behind my correctly forecasting the outcome of the referendum
And much of the opposition to accepting necessary lockdowns has been undermined not only by Cummings, but also mad schemes like "Eat out to help out"
Boris making a pigs ear of Christmas hasn't helped either .
Manipulating the public to follow their basic desires has worked well to get them to dance to the Tory tune, but is proving a very dangerous technique that at some point will reach critical mass, and civil unrest.
We have to hope that doesn't happen, it just needs some loud mouth anarchist to spark them up and all hell will break out.
There had better not be any shortages of food or medicines or energy for all our sakes

Good post...
I, ve been staggered at the outright stupidity of many I previously thought of sound mind. It's been, and in many ways still is, a test of the country's IQ.
Our in laws actually thought the previous Christmas bubble thing was 3 different famalies per day.. They had plans to see loads more this year than any year in past. Then after the change, just had 10 folk for dinner. "We, ll open a window"..
And Hull OG... I had misfortune to have to visit town centre about 4 weeks ago. Never saw a single mask or any thing like approaching social distancing. You,d have struggled knowing anything was wrong.
Yep, agreed Government's have made mistakes. They should have come down far harder on folk transgressing rules.. But somebody will have to explain to me why Boris is to blame. He, s actually been working hard to stop the ones saying lift restrictions having more sway.
Listened to Ian Duncan Smith a few weeks ago. Think he must be living on a different planet to rest of us.
And Tony Blair... When did he do his virology degree. Fecking lunatic.
