Brexit, for once some facts.

I wouldn’t say that I’m worked up. Just countering those who seek to “normalise” Mackay’s behaviour.
Nobody is normalising it, it isn't the norm, but not being the norm doesn't mean it's wrong. That is why the law is as it is, allowing the flexibility for all socially acceptable expressions of sexuality, such as a relationship between two people separated by twenty-six years.

You really are decades out of date, everything you just typed fitted well over half a century ago, but not today. We've long been in an era of universal progressive sex eduation from quite young ages and todays young have their sexual identity sorted before reaching 16 years old.

Today's kids even at 12 years old are so wordly wise that they take to large stages and lecture world leaders on matters of public concern. But that also met with disapproval from you, again showing how you are living in a past era.
.
There are those who would seek to lower the legal age to 12 months, not 12 years.

You may think you know what you are doing at 16, but many don’t.

You can join the army at 16 and make life or death decisions about others. Or vote in local elections in Scotland. Compared to that decisions about who to have sex with seems a walk in the park.

You may remember how decades ago there was huge concern about teenage pregancies and schoolgirl mothers, but now nothing is heard about that. It's because the teens today are so well informed and in control of their sexuality the problem has largely gone away:

"Rates of teenage pregnancy in the UK have halved in the past two decades and are now at their lowest levels since record-keeping began in the late 1960s.

It is a dramatic turnaround: in 1998, England had one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates in western Europe. Last week, the Office for National Statistics released data revealing the fall in the conception rate among females aged 15 to 19 as the standout success story in the public health field: just 14.5 per 1,000 births were to women in their teens, with drops in all age groups under 25."

Link

Today's teens can easily look after themselves, they don't need your help and would no doubt resent it.

That is not true, or at least only partly true. A soldier in the UK armed forces who is under the age of 18 will not be exposed to hostilities and therefore will not make any life or death decisions about anyone (apart I suppose potentially for him or herself)

Hmm! here is an article in the Express from 2013
https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/423882/Soldiers-who-join-up-aged-16-twice-as-likely-to-die-in-Afghanistan
Soldiers who join up aged 16 'twice as likely to die in Afghanistan'
SOLDIERS who joined the Army aged 16 are twice as likely to be killed serving in Afghanistan then those who signed up aged 18 or over, according to a new report.
The Army's recruitment policies drive young people with limited academic qualifications into the most dangerous roles because they are unable to enter less risky support or technical positions, the report's authors said.

Let us hope this no longer happens
Somehow I doubt it.

I see what you mean, but think (and I've been in the armed forces) the decision to join is a momentous one with far reaching implications (certainly in my life well beyond those at 16 about intercourse).

Not sure all boy soldiers realise what they are signing up for as witnessed during the lead up to the Falklands conflict. I know when I was in the province 16yo trades weren't considered for posting there but anyway.. I've no dog in this fight :)

(edit) just for clarity as it could be wrongly interpreted that I was enlisted , I'm sure no one actually cares but whilst in the seventies I was in XMG as a defence contractor, I wasn't in the mob.

Well, this is a bit anorak (and i quite desperately do not want to launch a further tangent away from brexit), but Jason Burt was 17 and killed in the malvinas

yes, most certainly there will be out liners in the facts but the general principle holds as far as I'm concerned.

Trump getting off the hook deserves a mention, at least there is somewhere in the world that is more corrupt than here.
That's very true, but thankfully John Durham is on to them. The guys that made the fake dossier aren't sleeping well at the moment, neither are the guys that signed the FISA warrants. That's not even the tip of the iceberg. The paper and money trail goes all the way round to Hillary Clinton. Durham promised results by the end of this month. I think they're going to be quite exciting.

The Bidens are in trouble too:

He was acquitted by official process. The same official process which allowed the sour & spiteful Dems to time their attack to stand the best chance of de-railing the presidential elections. That’s all this was about.

It’s probably back-fired. It wouldn’t surprise me to learn that this stunt has bolstered Trump’s support. I can see him winning another term. These lefty / liberal types simply never learn. They can’t see outside the bubble.

This just illustrates that 16 year olds make poor decisions due to immaturity. They certainly aren’t capable of deciding if they would like the 42 year old Scottish Finance Minister inside them.

There is much in the news about the state of law & order, probably not the entire picture, which is a lot worse, but certainly some alarming stuff. If you follow the trail of excrement that got us to this situation, you will find that it leads to Theresa May’s front door. There is also a branch line of poo leading to Tom Winsor’s house, who was paid a vast sum of money for conceiving the current mess. He still remains as HM Inspector of Constabulary, presumably assessing the success or failure of his own work.

Why aren’t this pair being hauled in front of the public to explain themselves? If a tradesman did a similar shoddy job in his / her profession, you’d take them to court to get your money back. Why are Winsor & May getting away with it?

You have to laugh

"The new Private Eye reveals how, contrary to what they told Companies House, the Brexit Party's finances are designed to give full control of millions of pounds to its majority shareholder, the man who's already been fined for misuse of funds, one N. Farage.

I'm shocked I tell you!
Shocked......
but only at the notion that this comes as some sort of surprise!
